I had this problem when I updated as well. I uninstalled/reinstalled and it took care of the problem.

I reinstalled idleminer and this still happens.

When I hit Start, IdleMiner doesn't do anything for a bit and then closes every time.

Same for me. Run it, hit start, it waits for 5 seconds, then closes, with the background app still using 30% of my CPU.

In an effort to keep my PT databases pssible to set some hours on this program...I have no interest in collecting data between 2 AM and 10 AM?

Besides that, solid program and am enjoying it so far.

Wow...I didn't even realize that the idleminer process was stil running. I've been wondering why my CPU has been pegged at 100% For some reason it was draining tons of CPU power. I ended the process and it's back to normal.

Seems like it was using about 70-80% of my CPU.

What's going on here?

I left the program at one computer, while I was in transit. Now that I'm home, I accessed that computer (through gotomypc) to turn off the program, so that I could play at Party at home. But after a little while, when that computer became idle, the program started to run again, with the result that I could not play at Party at home.

Is the program defaulted so that it turns on whenever the computer is idle? How do I turn off that function?

Whe it is installed, it is set as your default screensaver, so when your screensaver turns on, idleminer begins. Just set your screensaver to something else in your desktop settings or turn off your screensaver altogether.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled IdleMiner numerous times, and it 100% always closes when i hit Start. It was fine until the latest update.

Hey guys, we are working on getting everything back up and running smoothly. If you are having problems it is a great help to us if you send the log of the run where the crash occured to [email protected]

The log appears in the idleminer directory. It is a file called log.txt. Attach that file to the email and send it over to us.
