ouch thats harsh, i've been blessed at NL100 with my AA, infact its my big money bringer nearly most of my profit is from AA. however from the 500 hand sample of NL200 i played, AA has lost me $800 :S

on another note, coming up to my first 5k hands in NL100 on FTP, will post up screenies later. mind you i only play up to a max of 4tables at once, usually like to open 4 to start with and pick a table im running good at and build a stack from there.

like to build long sessions and get a big stack going

Okay, I worked up a first pass at the online hand-range app I mentioned about 5 pages back:

Hand Ranger

(please ignore the website it's placed on)

It's VERY rough, but I've done it so you can look in the source and see how I've ranked the hands - the toppermost (AA) being the one picked first etc. I've tried to do the ordering such that this is how I think a genuine FR NL player would pick them (as best one can do this, anyway).

It's very rough obv (I need to at least recode to combine all the similar hands, so all SC are grouped, NSC, 1 gappers, pairs etc), but would welcome some feedback from you guys, on both how useful this could be, how it could be refined, the hand ordering, and the 'rules-of-thumb' I chose

(which is for most hands:

Early position: the hand equating to the top %age of hands that are half your VPIP eg if VPIP is 10%, I use top 5% of hands

MP: top hands equalling your VPIP

LP: if VPIP is less than 10%, then range of hands equiv to double the VPIP (eg VPIP of 9% means top 18% of hands)
If VPIP is 10% or more, then I used VPIP+10 as the percentage of top hands.)

And don't go easy guys, I don't want to waste time on doing this any more if it's useless or misleading.

Oh, of course these are all the hands you'd either limp or open-raise with with no one in front, or just limpers in front of you, BTW.

Well, I want to get the ranges right, and the rules, then I'll refine it to group hand ranges like PokerStove does to make it easier to read quickly.

And make it look better.

I think the big problem is some players like playing hands like KQo and not little pairs and vice versa. That's the issue with ordering hand ranges. It's how they are played, not 'who wins the race' type charts.

I can already see the rules are dumb when you go from 2% to 3% (3 looks tighter than 2 up front).
