I've been done with the month since Monday when my laptop went in for repairs.

But February ended alright; I'm up $1,315 over some 14k hands after 2 weeks of NL25 and 2 weeks of NL50; probably running better than average and playing long weekend sessions when all the donkeys come out to graze. Weekend play at Party is atrocious with the avg pot being 4 times bigger than on most weekdays, when I'm sometimes having a tough time to find a table to my liking.

Winrate is around 5 ptbb/100h I think (higher at NL50 than at NL25 which is good). Sample size is small so we'll see if sustainable.

I feel like I'm not floating with air or med PPs enough against PFR 9% kind of villains and am being too weak-tight with TPTK/OP or whiffed overcards kind of hands and am concerned this will not work when I move up maybe.

And I've been getting tighter and tighter and nittier and nittier and I'm not sure how far I can go in that direction. I think I'm possibly 16/11/3.8 now. I was 30/10/2 at NL5 last November I think. I fold AQo to average EP raisors now. I'm even folding small PPs for 4BB raises against loose openers if I'll be the only caller. I feel like I'm running out of hands to cold-call preflop with.

And this whole small PPs UTG situation has me totally confused. I've started to open-limp them at ultra-loose tables where my raises are likely to get 2 to 3 callers who will call me down with TPNK. Open-limping just feels so weak and wrong but I guess I have no choice.

Overall, I still feel unsure about a lot of topics, especially what to do with TPTK/OP against resistance.

The last two days of february seems to be horrible for me. Played 1200 hands and so far my 6 biggest lost are:
_ underset vs overset for 72bb
_ TPGK vs SPNK for 70bb
_ set vs nfd AI on turn for 62bb
_ set vs nfd AI on flop for 46bb
_ busted river bluff for 38bb
_ set over set (QQ vs KK) on the flop for 35bb

I should had to this a few lost flipcoins (pp vs AK preflop).

Nothing big so far if I forgot the huge pot I lost for days ago 2 outed on the river after a turn push for 225bb. Anyway my W@SD with set (non folded) is only 30% during this period and I had only 1 straight and 2 flushes during the same period. Quite hard to make any money. I lost $600. Snif.

well...you're taking the right approach jetsetboy

things will turn for you

getting it all in with sets can hardly be bad
it's good to get caught bluffing once in awhile, or you're not bluffing enough

it will turn

The funny thing is i'm quite confident in my game right now. I think I play well, no tilt, no crazy call, well timed bluff. A week ago I was in a kind of semitilt but I was running well. Right now I'm playing much better and running bad...

I'm going to test 6max, playing 30k hands of NL200 6-max (unless I lose 20+BI which is really possible) during the next month begining right now while i'm confident. I'll let you know how I run. I'll try to keep answering thread in this forum.

1 fold, MP raises to $4, 1 fold, SB (poster) raises to $13, Hero calls $261.85 (All-In), MP folds, SB calls $197 (All-In).

Flop: ($478.85) J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

River: ($478.85) 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players, 2 all-in)

Final Pot: $478.85

Results:
SB has Ks Kh (three of a kind, kings).
Hero has Ad As (one pair, aces).
Outcome: SB wins $424. Hero wins $51.85.
