BG-

I've definitely 4-bet with AK before and then folded to a 5 bet AI from a tight player. not something I'm proud of but if we're sure that the villain's range is KK+ then isn't it -ev to call?

Also isn't the !!!!!1! a running joke around here?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was wondering if that was intentional cuz I do that all the time. Didn't know there was some inside joke about it. I can't keep up w/ you internet kids.
I gotta come to Vegas this summer and party w/ some of you lads. I have a feeling it would be a blast. Hangovers are a real bitch when your 34 though. I have to drink tons of water, take vitamins and [censored] while I'm drinking just so I don't feel like a crack baby the next morning.

Being 145 lbs doesn't help either

.....so your turning AK into 72o here? 4-betting AK vs. a tighty...dont really get that. i would just fold to the 3-bet if your going to fold to the 5-bet after you 4-bet.

true, which is why I've just started either calling in pos with AK, folding, or 4-bet shoving so I don't have this problem anymore

Bought these today:

BALLIN

Also, I've been looking for a good historical atlas, but am having difficulty finding one. A few years ago (pre-poker) I was walking around Solana Beach in San Diego shopping w/ my family, and I came across this really sweet book that was full of hundreds of pages of huge antique maps. At the time I was too busto to drop $100+ on a book like that, but I'd love to get something like that now...I just don't know where to look

Well, no. I'm betting for value up till wr 5bets. I just feel he's either gonna fold (which is fine since I have ace high) or push w/ the goods (which allows me to save $$$). I dunno. I don't know what level he's got me on here. He could be doing this w/ QQ, AQs I guess which would make my fold a disasterous mistake.

I heard carrotsnake saying something about 4betting to induce bluffs, but I'm only ever 4betting for value or bluffing myself. It seems like a way to gain information about the strength of my hand vs the right opponents.

Of course, if they know this is why I 4bet then pushing JJ, AQs type hands is a good play by them. Jesus, I suck at poker.

mostly because a lot of regs (yourself included) three bet as light as a feather and AK is way ahead of their range. Like I said with position I'll call sometimes, and against aggro TAG's I'll 4-bet and call a shove.

Orange knows that I call 4-bet shoves with AK, I gave him two stacks the other day vs his AA and KK.

All I was saying was that if you 4-bet someone with AK and you know they'll only shove with AA/KK then you should fold. If that's the case though, then you shouldn't be 4-betting unless you're 4-bet shoving.
