I'm somewhat shocked at all the hate for the SNY crew. I obviously didn't hear them yesterday, but in general, I think they're very good. I think a lot of it might be that I watch the games on MLB.tv as opposed to the local broadcast, which is only SNY about half the time, so I get to hear all the different local teams around the league. Trust me, Mets fans are blessed in this regard. I had generally considered the TBS crew to be the absolute worst (ChiSox 2nd), but after listening to the SD guys spend the better part of 3 games arguing with each other about which Met kinda-sorta looked like some d-list celebrity or old ballplayer, I have to make some room at the top.
Maybe they were under some sort of direction to be positive about Glavine, and were therefore forced into inanity. |

Fractured Right Tibia for Valentin. Fouled a ball off. Guess we will see alot more of Reuben Gotay especially while Easley is on leave.

how bad is it for valentin? does it mean he definitely won't get 400 at bats this season now, which would kick in his clause that would guarantee him 4 million next year? :
lease please please please::

Also, I love the mets broadcasting crew. They are the smartest of most of the teams i've seen...give them a break if they fall into the trap of conventional 'wisdom' from time to time. James |

Very fun, very different-from-last-night game. Highlights included Beltran killing the ball for the 2nd straight night, and a nice "Yankees Suck" chant in the 8th inning as all the Dodger faithful shuffled out of the stadium.
Also, I [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Ollie Perez. This was the first time I saw him pitch in person, and he is awesome. That is all. |

Pretty good Glavine impression by Sosa, he's been doing a lot of good ones lately. The only flaws were he actually broke 90 and he was pinch hit for before the 7th inning when the game was still winnable for him.
God I hate this team. "Jose Reyes May be slumping but not Beltran." - Tim MCCarver |
