First off I hope that you're not calling UTG raises in MP with AJo...

UTG didn't raise.

And it was a min-raise.

Wow, I didn't mean to offend you, I was trying to help out some but guess not.

I looked quickly and didn't notice the raise. Sorry for looking to help out, and I will make sure not to make any more posts when on a downswing as it will apparently be immaturely thrown back in my face when trying to help a random player deal with a beat better. Jeeez

Meh, depends on the min-raiser. If he's the kind of donkey who makes normal raises but then min raises AA/KK then obviously I fold. However, if he's the kind that makes min-raises all the time with a wide range of hands, particularly if he overvalues TP type hands then I'll take the cheap flop. But I'm looking for 2-pair or better to stack him with.

Really, it's the same justification for completing the SB with a very wide range...

Getting it all-in on the flop vs a good player is pretty ugly, but really there's only two hands that beat him. I definately don't mind preflop.

Actually, I kind of do mind preflop - You should have 3-bet unless you have a read on what the min-raise means (ie: bigger pair).

So what's wrong with playing 7-T here?

AJ actually has some showdown value if you hit a pair with either card. Also if villain is min-raising paint you're likely to stack him if you hit a monster.

With 7T your pairs are likely to be junk and if you hit a monster you're much less likely to get paid.

Again, it's a min raise in a family pot. Implied odds up the wazoo.
