I just made the worst play in the history of shortstacking. This was followed up by a very well played hand as I typed this.

[ QUOTE ]
There are about 150 posts on it in the BBV forum.

Latest theory is that current or former CEO of Absolute is in on it.

Scott Tom is his name I think. Absolute is denying it.

Supposedly a user #363 was observing Potripper's table. Potripper folded first few hands before observer 363 started observing and then only folded when big pairs were out behind him.

All this information is coming from a hand history that Absolute supposedly shipped to someone that has all kinds of information in it, including all users hole cards/email addresses/ip addresses.

I am always skeptical of online scandals so forgive my supposedly's if you know the people involved in bringing all this information out to the public.

mike,
this one is definitely cheating

the evidence is vast

someone did a stat analysis on some of the other accounts suspected and it was something like flipping a coin and having it land on heads 200 times in a row for the results to be possible and the game to be fair

the latest hardcore evidence is that
one account (that won a $1k tourney) had his whole hand history for a tourney get emailed to the player that finished 2nd. The data included table observers. A video was made from pokeracademy software and put up on youtube. The cheater has godlike powers at poker. It's clear he is seeing everyone's cards at the time of the tourney. Accounts and ISPs have been linked to Absolute Poker founder and high management (who've also spammed this and other poker forums).

My only doubt was this...

What if someone fabricated these hand histories?

I pointed out in one of the threads that potripper doesn't show up on the flop action and then appears on the turn action....

I'm pretty sure after reading more today that it has grown beyond a massive level and it is a legit story.

This has no relevance to anything, but I was just talking with a friend and telling him I cashed out and bought some stuff. He is having a rough downswing at 2/4, 5/10 etc, so he says...

xxxxxxxx (4:32:19 PM): i want to buy a noose with my poker winnings
xxxxxxxx (4:32:22 PM): are they expensive?
xxxxxxxx (4:33:00 PM): and i guess ill need a block of ice too

way more funny when he said it, but i already typed it out, so i'm posting it. that is all.

LOL, yeah the Absolute Poker cheating story is definately not one big level. The people being implicated now is unreal, and Absolute is going down for sure. For anyone who hasn't read the thread yet, it's a great read. Here's the link:
