I know I have mentioned several times that he will be traded, but I don't really think it will happen. Roy, Webster, and Aldridge are starting to develop as scorers, and that helps Zach. They could be very good in 2 years.

Sometimes Zach just disapears. Some of it is the double and triple teams he sees. Sometimes its not. He can be an amazing player if he had that hunger. The fact that he doesn't have it all the time is worrysome.

I have read enough of this thread and elsewhere to understand this to be the case. I wonder how he would respond if he was on an actual contender? I realize the Suns have the tendency to make anyone look great on offense, but that was something. If the Portland brass is really considering moving him they have to be thrilled by him tonight. Also, who could he logically go to (this includes salary cap implications)?

[/ QUOTE ]

Bulls fans are totally irrational, but a PJ Brown + one of the Bulls young player (Thomas, Deng, Noc, etc.) works for Randolph straight up.

Randolph really needs a Skiles, A. Johnson type coach.

Also having an alpha dog like Ben Wallace to put him in his place and teach him defense would be perfect.

That trade makes the bulls an instant contendor, and maybe the Bulls would throw in their own draft pick, as they already have the Knicks.

Portland would never make that trade. Zach is till young and they don't need Pj Brown and another young player.

Deng + PJ + Knicks' pick has to be at least somewhat enticing.

The problem is that for a guy like Randolph, you aren't going to get close to his true market value, so it probably is best just to hold onto him.

They don't need more young players. Zach's knocks are that he disapears and he plays no d. Both can be taught/coached. He has amazing talent though. Very quick down low. Portland doesn;t need another C/PF. They are going to get another high draft pick, so why make this trade?

So what you are both saying is that Zach is both non-tradable and not a long-term asset to his own team? Sounds like he's in a pretty sucky limbo. If he was playing for PHX he could just beat some random chick/his wife and be traded to a contender ASAP!

He's not non tradeable. They just shouldn't trade him. He is young and lacks discipline. At the same time, he is basically Portlands only real option on offense. Teams know this. It has to be frustrating. Once he and the team get better, things will get crazy.

FNPG's favorite 5 players in the NBA

1. Big Al Jefferson
2. 'Sheed Wallace
3. Sam Cassell
4. KG
5. Paul Pierce

honorable mentions: Gilbert, Brad Miller, Duncan, Jesus Shuttlesworth, Okefor

EDIT: swapped Pierce and Miller.. I'm sorta can't stand the Kings this year so I see a lot less of him. I like him a lot, though.

5 least favorite:

1. Mark Blount
2. Marcus Banks
3. Manu Ginobli
4. Jamal Crawford
5. Mark Blount

What about something like Randolph and first rounder for Pao Gasol?

Just a thought:

If the Bulls had done things a little differently their current lineup could've been

PG Kirk Heinrich
SG Ben Gordon
SF L. Deng
PF Elton Brand
C Eddy Curry
Bench: Nocioni, Duhon, Sefolosha

Is that team not one of the best in the league?
