Hey mid-stakes crusher of all kind, i have a question regarding travelling the poker-worldl:
Is carrying baller sums of money around airport/customs service okay? When you luckbox a big tourney, have you had any trouble bringing the cash back to your country? AKA: Is there a limit to how much you can carry with you? Planning WSOP summer, my first big poker trip and need to triple check this, a year ago i was freaking out carrying 6k euro with me, it could be far bigger this time. |

I know you have to report if you are carrying 10k+ into the US. I have no idea about going the other way though.

Board wasn't tripped, and I thought I was stacking a bare 9 or JT more often than 77, but I think this counts as a Zeebo:
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $4 BB (5 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: 2+2 Forums) Button ($434.20) Hero ($546.90) BB ($396.70) UTG ($869.85) MP ($410.10) Preflop: Hero is SB with 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Button calls $4, Hero completes, BB checks. Flop: ($12) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (3 players) Hero bets $8, BB calls $8, Button folds. Turn: ($28) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Hero bets $20, BB raises to $40, Hero raises to $534.9, BB calls $344.70 (All-In). River: ($947.60) K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players, 1 all-in) Final Pot: $947.60 Results below: Hero has 8s 8c (full house, eights full of nines). BB has 7c 7h (full house, sevens full of nines). Outcome: Hero wins $947.60. Yes, I noticed that I didn't raise a pocket pair. Heresy! |

[/ QUOTE ] I believe you have to declare if you have $10k while traveling internationally (in and out of U.S., don't know about into other countries.) Anything over 20-30k I'd suggest wiring just for convenience and because you might get more hassle carrying 100k than 20k. |

hmm, that 88 hand screams you have a monster, you won't get called by many worse hands. You can easily make a much smaller raise and force some errors from worse hands as he is never gonna fold his range that calls this shove.

He was donkish, something about the timing made me think the minraise was almost always a big hand, and he was never folding a straight or a 9. And shoving is fun. But you're right. |
