[ QUOTE ]
Bob, interesting that you think Sosa is somehow responsible for the fact that he was not involved in any run scoring rallies. Your stat looks to be a real winner. James [/ QUOTE ] He isn't responsible. The stat takes that into account, its just that if youre involved in 0 your RPP will always be 0. If Sosa were too be involved in just 1 rally his RPP would go up way faster than Wright's does everytime Wright is involved in a run rally. RPP of middle of the lineup hitters goes down faster when they dont produce. |

[/ QUOTE ] I'm not going to bother to explain to you how drastically luck will be the main decider in how this stat plays out over the year. Players can't control what the players around them do. Also, you reward players for being at the bottom of the lineup? So you would have said David Wright was more valuable when Willy retardedly bat him 7th and he was 'in rallies' than he is now, simply by virtue of batting 7th(where he got less at bats, also)? Rethink things bob. James |

James if someone has a high RPP in the bottom of the lineup its an indication he should be moved to the top or middle, duh. Anyway ive given up on RPP because its too hard to calculate.

Maybe having HoJo work with the team is +ev |
