Hello 2+2'ers:

Whoa. We're not used to this level of charm.

News, Views, and Gossip (NVG) is actually one of the more civil subforums on twoplustwo. Don't be taken in by the first silver-tongued devil you meet here.

Question: Do you prefer dogs or cats?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ummmm as a child I didn't have pets....I had sisters (3 of them. And I still have them

Jeanie don't get in a post war with these guys...it only leads to more nonsense escalation.

I have a couple questions concerning your background. I hope this isn't too personal...generally I like learning how successful pros develop the certain qualities from their experiences that make them winning players.

I was wondering what your childhood was like...you did talk about this a little bit in other posts...where did you grow up? What were your interests as a kid...hobbies and aspirations, etc.
Where did you go to college and major in? Were you a good student? You come from jewish/korean ancestry, so I figure yours parents value education heavily. Furthermore from this mindset, what have your parents thought about your career choice? Did they look down upon it or supported you fully at the onset? Also, I remember saying something in korean and you understood. How "korean" are you?

thanks.

Bottomline, I was a "second" child over achiever, played 3 sports and was an honor student (president of my high school). I've gotten over my ugly-duckling syndrome. I grew up in the 'hood. Caucasians and Asians were the minority, I grew up with alot of Latinos and love latin culture and food. I had the best mom, I never missed school (it was unheard of in Korean culture). I'm thankful for the discipline I got when I was younger, many girls in my high school were mothers at 16.

Its so sad but I still do not speak Korean fluently, I know the customs and I grew up on the food, but thats about it.

Default Men and Poker Skills?

Hello Ms Gluck,

Let's get to the fun stuff.

Based on personal experience, what poker skills do you find (if any) are good for relationships?

After a date when do you think is a good time to check-call her? (or check raise her? hehe). Hmmm, yea maybe I shouldn't take these poker analogies too far....

MsGluck,

"I'm really free spirited, fly by the wind kinda girl.... successful business men don't like it if "it's not on the schedule".... Stuffiness bores me, I'm not say all, just most of them I met"

I agree completely. I think that's why the right guy for you is likely not to be some traditional businessman, but more likely a free spirited, fly by the seat of his pants, risk-taking entrepeneur. Those types of businessmen are typically very smart and successful, but also ready to try anything and have a great sense of adventure. As I said earlier, you probably also want to look for a guy like that who is also a successful high-stakes poker player who really enjoys and appreciates the game. I doubt there are too many guys who really fit that profile, but someone as beautiful and talented as you are should have no problem finding and charming a guy like that.

Skill best for relationships... Knowing when someone is bluffing (lying) to you. Definately, I despise liars.

Check-Call...Check-raise?? I'm still a little old fashioned, I let the man make the first move

Actually, ma'am, what you need is a Russian guy. Preferably one that resembles a bear or is cuddly like a teddy bear.
