[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] On the corollary, he should limp/fold EVERY hand here. [/ QUOTE ] The only hands hero shouldn't limp/fold here are the ones he pushes. [/ QUOTE ] Is this true even if we don't think villian smart enough to open-fold to the SB Also, don't we lose like 2 BBs MAX if the SB folds to keep the BB alive? (I'd have to recheck the post/math on it, but my main point remains the same) Don't we gain about the same amount by avoiding this situation as we lose by limping 90% of hands? |

[/ QUOTE ] Is this true even if we don't think villian smart enough to open-fold to the SB [/ QUOTE ] It sounds like villain knows what he's doing here, so I don't really think that's a risk worth taking. If he's a donk, then a fold might be okay, but I still prefer open pushing. [ QUOTE ] Also, don't we lose like 2 BBs MAX if the SB folds to keep the BB alive? (I'd have to recheck the post/math on it, but my main point remains the same) Don't we gain about the same amount by avoiding this situation as we lose by limping 90% of hands? [/ QUOTE ] For each orbit that you don't voluntarily enter a pot, you will lose 1.5BB. The point is that the villain can walk the blinds to shorty here, push the second hand and then you're going to either have to enter a pot next hand in the SB or fold and be back to where you started but with fewer chips. Villain can do this over and over until you decide to enter a pot, so why not do it now when we have a premium hand? |
