Another one that just came to my mind, it may have been two seasons, but was pretty funny in my opinion was Clone High.

o man, great show. there was this one line from it, i forget who said it, but it was so hilarious, my friend and i ran this line into the ground we repeated it so many time...unfortunately i cant remember. if i can find it i'll post it
**edit** i remember- the "say whaaaaaaaat" scene, where gandhi is trying to direct a movie and is teaching his actor how he wants him to say: "say what"? i'm trying to find a link to the scene...

Very happy to see others have already mentioned Clerks animated. I've seen those eps a zillion times and they're still funny.

Would be so spectacular if it make a comeback family guy style.

The hands down winner is the Tracy Ullman show.

Without it we would never have the Simpsons, which might be greatest show ever.

I couldn't remember the name of the show, but this is it. It was hilarious--doogie and tony played off each other so well. I was bummed when this show went away.

Sooo many good shows in this thread...Someone ought to print it out and nail it to every TV executive's door...or wrap a poo in it and stick it on their front porch on fire...

Also, Alien Nation ruled.

I absolutely loved Sledge Hammer although it did have an unexpected two season run (anybody not familiar with the show should know that they had Sledge accidently set off a nuke at then end of the first season killing everybody. They had to write the second season as 5 years previous to the last episode of season 1).

Clerks: The Animated Series had a SUPERBOWL commercial previewing it, yet it was pushed back untill summer and only had a two episode run. It deserved much more, but it deifintley appealed to only a specific audience. I never gave it much hope even though I loved the show.

Recently "Over There" on FX was an excellent show that got cancelled. It was reasonably realistic, but it was the characters that made show. Guess the timing was just wrong.
