Colts fans,

I am calling a truce with you mor....um, you guys for the remainder of the week. We are fans of two absolutely incredible teams, and I expect this game to be absolutely amazing. Also, I hope whoever wins Sunday's game finishes the season undefeated.

That's right, if the Colts beat the Pats Sunday, I hope they finish the regular season undefeated. It'll be all the more sweeter when we end up as SB Champions.

Pats 34
Colts 24

That's my prediction.

All this arguing about lines has distracted us from the real reason I came into this thread. Debunking the "solid" Redskins defense.

[ QUOTE ]

The Patriots performance against the Skins doesn't really say much IMO. The Skins offense is not good and facing a strong NE defense they were playing D all game.

The Skins D is being severely overrated. They hadn't played even a good offense yet this season.

[/ QUOTE ]

Before the Pats, the Redskins faced the Fins, a struggling Eagles offense, a struggling NYG offense, the Lions, the 1 dimensional Packers, and the Cardinals.

[/ QUOTE ]

Out of curiosity, if none of those teams are good offenses, who ARE the good offenses, at least in the NFC?

/cue someone offering to take +9.5 on the Colts against me. No, I do not think Pats -10 is a fair line, so go away.

Good Os in the NFC:

Dallas, Giants-The rest are terrible.

So how could Washington's defense be "overrated" if they've played good defense against conference-level offenses?

They weren't overrated, they were just overmatched. As a note, they haven't played Dallas yet and the Os that have played haven't been particularly good. They have had a favorable early season schedule. Miami, Philly, Detroit, @GB, Arizona all have pretty bad Os this year.

Every teams' defense has been overmatched this year by the Pats O. It seems like there are only 5/6 total offenses in the NFL that anybody would consider "good"

When the redskins played them, GB and the Lions had the top passing offenses in the NFC iirc. The Lions in particular had a highly touted "high power offense" that was held to 3 points. Skins defense is overrated but not by much.

Yeah, I don't get how the Redskins are overrated when they held 4 of the top 7 scoring offenses in the NFC, the Giants, Packers, Cardinals and Lions to 16 PPG. I think they actually did a good job stopping Moss and Stallworth as they combined for only 7 catches and less than 100 yards. And they didn't even get most of those catches until after Brady had blown open the game with his other weapons.
