HOWMANY: playing Hogan HU seems like a bad idea but if he was that far gone, congrats. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, he seemed pretty determined to leave with as close to $0 as possible. Just got back from another great session. And by great I mean terrible. Woke up 5:30 am Saturday and fished until 6. Finished unloading fishing [censored] about 8 I guess. By 10pm I am at the casino at which point I'm already realizing I'm too tired to play poker. Oh well, I'm already there so it's not like I'm going to turn around and drive back. Turns out Crazy Mike is there but apparently we aren't allowed to start a 75. Okay that makes a lot of sense. Either that or it's retarded, I'm not too sure which. Anyway, I eventually get a seat which of course is the one on Crazy Mike's right. I run good and win like 1800 or so anyway at which point I suffer a handful of standard Crazy Mike coolers including a fun one where he straddles about 6 handed I 3bet A4, flop 468 he c/c, turn A he c/r luckily it is 3 flush card so I just call down. He has A6. So by the time he leaves I'm stuck about half a rack. yay I come back to up about a rack until the game begins to break and only "nobody runs worse than me" Steve and I are left. As usual he is on tilt and playing the same way he always does. Very first hand he opens button I defend A5o. Flop A68 two hearts I decide to donk because nobody would ever donk an A here. He calls. Turn T I bet he calls. River 5 heart I bet he raises I think a while and realize it's [censored] HU and I'm not folding two pair. Of course he has 55 for the fantastically played one outter. After winning every pot for 10 minutes he hit and runs me up about 1.5 racks off me. Okay. Then a couple random people sit and they throw their money away to me and I'm winning a little again. Alex shows up and he wins every pot for a while to bring me back to down 2 racks. Then God finally smiles on me by breaking the 10/10 NL and some guy walking away says "what's the min buyin" and he proceeds to absolute burn up his money. I take one adorable one from his where he raises button I defend A2s. I bet/3 and call 4 on Q22 two hearts to c/r turn. Guess what the turn is. You don't need to guess because of course it's a Q. He checks behind so I make what I now think is a bad bet on the 7h river and fold to his raise bc he is so straightforward on turn/river when he bets or raises. Luckily by the time he leaves I am up like 2700 or so which is always nice. At 6:11 I tell Alex I am leaving at 6:30 because I want to go to sleep and I have 6700 in front of me. At 6:24 I am saying "I'm done" and have 4200 in front of me. I am pretty sure 2500 in a 40 game in 13 minutes has to be a new record. I won 1 pot in this time but I did manage to get 2 outted by his JJ against my QT on a 45Q flop 9 turn in a real big pot. It was honestly hilarious, or at least it would be if there was not money involved. I started with A high or something solid almost every hand. He made a pair almost every hand plus I managed to pick up multiple completely unplayable hands from the BB against his raise. I don't care if I lose. I don't care if I'm winning and lose. Winning then being stuck then being winner then stuck, then even bigger winner than any point earlier and then losing it all back drives me insane. BTW I'm also going to take great joy in watching Steve go broke even more after his hit and run against me today. |

so last friday/saturday, in two sessions spanning a 24 hour period i lost 80 bets at 100/200 playing my A game and 20 bets at 20/40 playing my D+ game.
incidentally my first 1/2 session which i played for 3 hours, i didn't win a single pot, played probably about 16vpip/9pfr and somehow lost 55 bets in maybe 100 hands or so. second session of 1/2 was also 3 hours long and didn't go much better but halfway in i did manage to win my first pot. at 20/40 i was playing probably 36/24 full ring including some nice ones where i coldcalled 4 bets with J8s and cracked AA and KK at the same time. called a cap cold in the bb with 43s and turned trips, limped utg with 73s peeled with cheese and managed to turn a double gutter that hit, yet i still managed to lose 20 bets getting coolered in the last 15 minutes of the session. also i am on a 250bb downswing live since last week i think. |

almost 500 here, can't even remember how long it's been that I've actually won more then 15bb in a single live session, losing 4 out of 5 sessions, must be 1,5 months at least, and that's against guys who barely know the difference between a flush and a straight
made a couple smallish but stupid mistakes last session bc I was tired, which I hate even more |

lol..yah... i wince obviously when the board pairs up or whatever but i say nothign...lol [/ QUOTE ] Reminds me of another one. Same 3 handed game yesterday. Straddle button by Alex, sb NL guy calls, I call BB with KT, Alex checks. Flop KQ4 NL bets I raise Alex 3, NL calls, I cap, call call. Turn 7 completes rainbow check bet call call River 4 NL bets I vomit and make an extreme crying call, Alex raises, NL 3 bets, my cards spontaneously combust, Alex calls. T4 and A4. It's always fun to build a multiway pot when they have 4 outs between both their hands and then lose. Now I just have to eat breakfast and drive out for some more pain. Someone please to help me start 75, I want to win lots before Vegas so I can maybe play some 1/2 when I'm out there so I'm taking overs in the 40 and willing to play 75 in conditions not as good as what I normally seek. Guy that asked about chips in this 40 game: This isn't bay 101 but it's $10 chips. When the NL guy first sat down and I went on a blitzkrieg I was going to ask if we could just make it an 80 game (something this casino doesn't normally spread) because I wanted the NL guy to lose all his money and changing the game to a 75 means color change and time for them to regroup from the savage beating they were taking while 80 could just mean mountains of $10 chips. NL guy unfortunately ended up leaving very quickly losing however much he lost, I'm pretty sure they would not let it be 80 anyway though. I also think I've set a new personal record for being dealt AJ or KQ and having someone else open before me. At least it's either asian Dave or Danny so I don't have to try and convince myself I need to 3bet. And then Mike Saco opens UTG in full game and I muck 99 because his range of hands is too tough to play against. Flop J59 two hearts he has KJ hearts and shows his nut hand when everyone folds. I'm positive it was a good laydown because KJs is his "frisky" play with like TT+/AQ+/KQs/AJs probably being close to his normal range althought he might limp AQ/KQs/AJs sometimes because I know he normally limps KJs/ATs. And I folded the best hand yesterday. For a normal person folding the best hand isn't bad but I'm a degenerate so folding a winning hand is like stabbing me and then twisting the blade around. Again I'm pretty sure it was a good fold. Steve nobody runs worse than me opens, I 3b 99, someone coldcalls sb. Flop 772. I get c/r/3bet and fold. SB has 2, Steve has like the 1 hand I beat of course 88. I know he plays 99/TT/JJ exactly the same and maybe even QQ if he's "running bad" so this was a good fold but I'm very greedy and would rather just win every pot I play. |

lol just finished a grand session where I lose 4k in a 20 game that I didn't even want to play in. 5 minutes from my house when I call to put my name on the board I am told there's no 40 but I'm really bored so I may as well go pick up some free money in the 20. Little did I know I would be raped with unprecedented efficiency. I'm not one of those [censored] that counts how many times they get 2 outted and I'm not one of those people that make up a random obviously too large number so I will just say "a lot". Then of course your standard coolers, never hitting a draw, losing every overs pots, losing every AQ vs KQ etc, although at the end I managed to suck out a few times. Be assured that my lead did not last for long as they promptly resucked in the form of the 3 outter or backdoor flush every time. Losing 100 bets in a live 20 game that isn't even that aggressive is pretty impressive, especially when it's full most of the night.
I guess I can't complain much more about it, because if I'm going to get mercilessly skullfucked in a poker game I'd sure rather it happen in this game than anything else. |

I still haven't bought a plane ticket for Vegas and I'm planning to go tomorrow. Is it cool to just smash like 30k into my pockets and go on the plane or could this cause me problems?
As for yesterday's -4k in a 20 game, I think the worst part may be that I felt as if I was playing horrible the first rack I lost, but after that I decided I should try to win money and I thought I was playing probably the best I had played since Thursday and lost 7 racks anyway. Hopefully a 40 game is going later today so I can move up to win it back because I know I will drive out to play another 20 even though I don't want to. |
