But that doesn't make any sense. The odds of missing it 20 times in a row are very low. Are you telling me that if you miss a flush draw 99 times in a row by some crazy strike of probality, on the 100th time its the same chance? If that was true, than probability wouldn't work. I used to be a roulette player in the casino, I won some, and lost some, but overall I'm up. The reason why is I knew to only bet colors, and only bet a color that hadn't come up in a while, because the odds of red not coming up 10 times in a row are low. Why do you think they have a history chart at the tables?

That's actually called "St. Petersburg Paradoxon". In Roulette red can come 100000 times in the row and the chance for black to come on the next roll is just 17/36. Same thing in Poker because every new shuffle will create a totally independent situation and reset the probabilities.

Not so in Blackjack. Because the cards that are out of the shoe have zero chance to show up on the next round (unless they reshuffle of course). Therefore the shoe has a memory and therefore rounds depend on each other. That's why you can beat Blackjack and that's why you cannot beat Roulette!

Seriously guys, why so much interest in this thread? This is some pretty obvious trolling. And not well done trolling either.

[/ QUOTE ]

Wow. This thread was funny and just plain gold until you scolded me

And casinos make billions of dollars a year because of dumb tourists who stand on 16's versus a dealer showing ten.

[/ QUOTE ]

WRONG!!! They make millions off of ignorant idiots like yourself.

[/ QUOTE ]

Once again, do you know me? I don't think so. Therefore you have no idea how much I've won or lost at a casino. I've had quite a few large winning sessions employing a very simple strategy at roulette, but you can believe whatever you want. Its the idiots who play wrong at blackjack and muck the deck up for everyone else that make the casinos billions.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't need to "know" you. I sit here and watch a bunch of intelligent people work this out step by step and you refuse to understand. I guess there is no hope for someone who is truly a moran. I'm sure your simple roullette strategy will make you rich forget about poker.

[/ QUOTE ]

You spelled "moron" wrong. Go USA
Kind of delegitimizes your point, don't ya think?

Troll detector!!!

I mean, how does the coin know what it's just been doing (assuming it's a fair coin)? Does it remember how it just did 19 heads? Duh! The human (troll) on the other hand, remembers..

You're an idiot. A simple reason that you're completely wrong: Infinity = Infinity+1

You lose.
