Anybody care to speculate on who the Redskins will take? I know a lot hinges on who the teams ahead of us pick...

Perhaps we'll trade down b/c we have just one first-day pick.

[/ QUOTE ]

I would think Gaines Adams/Joe Thomas would be on the top of their board. If their both gone, trading down would be a good option if they could find a partner.

If they can't do the above, they probably reach for Quentin Moses or whatever CB rises above the rest. Right now I think it's Antoine Cason.

BTW-as fas as I know, Washington has a 3rd round pick.

Where's Brian Brohm? Did you assume he'd stay in school?

[/ QUOTE ]

Until he announces otherwise, yes.

[ QUOTE ]
Some of your late picks are real stretches. I can't see Zbikowski, Pitcock or Stanton going in the first round. Brandon Merriweather & Aaron Rouse are much better safeties. John Beck & Chad Henne should be the 4 & 5 QB's. Frank Okam & Glenn Dorsey probably get taken ahead of Pitcock.

[/ QUOTE ]

Other draft experts highly disagree with you. Stanton going in the first round is a stretch, but possible if Troy Smith gets taken and Brohm stays in school. Stanton is probably fifth even if Brohm declares himself eligible.

Those safeties are second round picks. The top 3 are considered Landry, Nelson, Griffin with Zbikowski and Merriweather behind them. Merriweather could slip in over Zbikowski though.

Pitcock is likely the third best defensive tackle in the nation. Branch and Okoye are better. As far as I know, Dorsey hasn't declared that he wants to enter the draft this season.

Mock is what it is. Four months in advance buddy.

I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it was traded for Brandon Lloyd.

We have the 6th overall and a 5th, 6th and 7th rounder and nothing else, which means we may trade down if Joe Thomas or Calvin Johnson somehow drop that far, but I doubt either one will.

Asked about Brohm because you have many other undeclared underclassman in your mock.

I had not seen anybody with Stanton or Zbikowski in anybody's first round is why I asked. Stanton definitley looks the part, but is way too inconsistent to warrant an early pick. I would like to think after bowls/workouts John Beck passes Stanton.

I agree Merriweather, Rouse are late 1st/2nd round picks, however, their better than Zbikowski.

Pitcock's being projected all over the place from top 10 to 3rd round. I have him closer to the later because he's not quick or athletic enough to produce at the next level. DT's are weak this year, Dorsey & Okam appear to be first rounders. Chances are good one or both enter the draft.

Didn't mean to offend you by commenting on you draft.

Washington's 3rd rounder does go to Denver in the Duckett/Lelie trade. The pick was conditional based on both team's finishes this year so I had originally overlooked it.

2nd rounder to NYJ for Rocky Mcintosh
4th rounder to SF for Lloyd

I sit corrected. I knew the pick was gone, I just couldn't remember for whom it was traded. Easy to mix those up when your front office trades almost every draft pick. That's part of the reason I have little to no faith that we won't screw up the 6th pick.

AL DAVIS DOES NOT TAKE QBS IN THE FIRST ROUND. I don't know how else I can say that.

[/ QUOTE ]

How else?

How about "Al Davis HAS not taken a QB in the 1st round in the last few drafts."

That would be much more appropriate than your yelling.
