I'm not from US but I have been so depressed for the last couple of days. I don't know how you guys can stay so calm. [/ QUOTE ] I can take a few bad beats here and there but its the worst when everything crashes down on you at once. Im a college student living in Ohio. I go to Akron University. Ive NEVER enjoyed school, I got bad grades in high school and was never motivated to do the work. I had friends that got 4.0's that I was much smarter than. Then my senior year in high school (4 years ago) I started to become a student of poker, and like most people, was horrible at first. Then like most people on 2p2 found a comfort zone and learned how to grind it out and make a steady profit. anyway Im rambling..... What I want to say is Im not doing very well in college right now and poker was honestly looking like the best route for me to take for a career. Now all these bad beats are raining upon me. Online poker becomes illegal, I have a MONSTER test friday, A long ass paper due friday. I have to get surgery. All at once. I have no idea what to do, hopefully the poker world will return to its natural state and we all are not entering the "3rd" era To be honest, I took online poker for granted. Now its (soon to be) gone |

And I'll offer whatever small amounts of help I can with my useless degree in lit and limited experience in the publishing industry.

I said I was going to write it. But, I put the odds of me finishing something coherent And getting it published at about 98-1 against atm. I studied creative writing in college; but, that was back in the horse and buggy days. |

Well, good luck. I'm afraid that's probably the extent of the help I can offer.
I've written a few articles, and that was hard work. I toyed with the idea of writing a book once. I can only imagine how hard that must be. |

Funny ive been making the oposite transition from live play to online play and would like to thank you all for advice and such you have opened me up to some new theories and ideas because live play is played much diffently imo than online.
My question is how many of you plan too make the transition to live play if you plan to continure making $$ playing poker? (assuming online is no longer an option witch is up in the air). As somone who has played alot live I would tell you that even online stakes you play at are tougher to beat IMO than ALOT of live gimes 5x their size, granted you cant play 12 tables but I think the games at most limits below 10-20NL are much softer than alot of 1/2 online games (1/2 live is a joke to beat) at least in my experince. |
