No, you see, it's rigged because he's losing.
You see, OP is really really awesome at poker so when he wins it's normal, and if he loses it's clearly rigged, because he is so awesome. |

Has OP considered that life may be rigged aginst him, and online poker is merely reflective of that?

I would like very much for you to explain what advantages one hand has over another one, if all hands were not 50 50 we would just wait for pocket aces. You can make a boat just as easily with 57os as you can ak, AA will lose to 27os, the flop determines who stands where so how is everyone not almost even before the flop? [/ QUOTE ] Wow! You really must stop playing poker RIGHT NOW! |

You really must stop playing poker RIGHT NOW! [/ QUOTE ] Shh, don't tell him that! If he keeps losing he'll keep losing to you! Besides, he's right,* all those hands are close** before the flop. *Completely wrong, unless... **He considers being favored to win somewhere around 85% of the time or 65% of the time "close." Edit: To the OP, really, what did you expect? We've read these threads time and time again, dismissed them time and time again, and now just see them as a source of amusement. The best way to prove it to yourself is to use PokerTracker or something similar, play 100,000 hands or so, and take a look at your stats. Invariably, the vast majority of your hands will have won as much as would expect. Your draws will hit close to their expected frequency. Cards will come on each street as often as expected. The hand that will have made you the most bets per hand will be, by far, AA, and will almost certainly be followed by KK (variance may play around with the hands after that, but big pocket pairs and AKs/AK are going to be coming up next). And if you have any specific things you think may be rigged, make a null hypothesis now and try to disprove it. For instance, do you think flush draws don't come in often enough? Straight draws hit too often? Overcards beat pocket pairs at showdown too often? Decide that's what you're testing for now, play some hands, and come back with the results for whatever you are testing - there are people in the Probability forum that can help you run the analysis necessary. As a warning, what you can't do is collect the data, find the one weird thing that is wrong with it, and then say that there was only a 1 in 83 billion chance that would happen...therefore it is fixed. You need to decide what things you are going to test for before looking at the data. If you do all that, and come back with results that suggest the games are rigged, people here would listen to you, because that would be something new to us. |

I'm not questioning anything you say, I was just curious since I'm clearly not an expert, but why would your win rate be lower for online games than live games? [/ QUOTE ] Because your opponents are usually much weaker live than online at the same stakes. |

I could of wrote this, I have also hit these streaks, if I'm on my last dollar I can go all in with 6 3 os and have and win all the way.
Do you notice the burp after you go all in after the flop or on the turn with top trips and buddies miracle 2 outer hits, what surprizes me even more is the call. 6 times today my beats all got comments just like the last one, late in 180 sng, Im dealt Kd Jc os, I raise 6 times BB from middle position, get 1 caller, hoping to steel the blinds, get 1 caller, my stats I had only 1 PFR in 82 hands, and seen 14% of flops, anybody paying attention should of put me on a big hand, anyway flop 24Jd, I now have top pair and a good flush draw, it's late I have half my chip stack in I want the caller out, I go allin, I have allot of outs, bad move I know, but if I win I'm in 3rd late in the sng, why not, he calls, he shows 33, not part of the flush, 3 over cards, I figure cool, turn K something, river 3, he made his trips, no flush. Why did he call, I'll tell you why, it's poker stars and that happens all the time, miracle 2 outers win way way more then 12 or 14 outers. I have been that caller. Last night watching some clown go allin PFR 12 times in the first 14 hands and hit every one, he had 72 thousand compared to 5 thousand for 2nd place in a matter of 20 minutes, watching it was unbelievable, and the callers what they were calling with and it was not a rebuy, which is the stupidist f..in tourney to watch and play on pokerstars. Pokerstars should rename holdem to nofoldem poker. Why do I keep playing, because I too have made money and play for free....? Why do I go allin after the flop, stupidity....and the chip leader curse,,,wow what a thing of beauty that is, AKs flop is always in reverse. Someone did post stats a couple of weeks ago, it was after 37,000 hands 48% of the boards were 3 suited, I seen the stats on RGP, this trend stopped within hours on PS, I noticed this trend also for a good 3 months, flushes were hitting 4 times more then straights, although I did not have a record of the stats myself. Pokerstars was being called pokerflush. The second my bank drops to zero, I'm gone for good, however in 3 years the closest it got was was $1, won the $1 45 sng trying to lose, 3rd $5 45sng, then 3rd in $4 180 sng twice in row followed by 1rst in $4 180 sng, in a row, yes in a row, bank is still up, but I could'nt win a thing now if my life depended on it. Yes I play a little loser on these streaks as decent starting hands never hit the flop later in a sng, early can't miss, but early means nothing, then the chips slowly bleed away. I have watched some clown flop trips 10 times in a row, why would they not call any bet. I know the critism is coming, but watch it, PS is fasinating to watch. I only play tourneys and sng, micro limit cash tables are fun for a quick double up of the money then bail when the bleeding starts, I have more fun in the tourneys though. |
