I thought the guy with AA against Hellmuths KK was really REALLY wanting to be "the one to remember" on TV. I'm not a Hellmuth fan but he lost a lot less than most would lose with JJ vs QQ and KK vs AA.
Hellmuth didn't explode when the guy had AA. He appeared to be proud of himself for not losing more to the fella. I think he was only thinking about how he was being slapped in the face from the cards. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Lon has been announcing for four years and he thinks Q9 on a KJT board is the nut straight? [/ QUOTE ] We have to grade Lon on a curve. He thinks 8d6d is a suited connector. [/ QUOTE ] He also said 97 of clubs was suited connectors [/ QUOTE ] A lot of people do consider them to connect. Meaning they can make a str8 with em. I always thought it would be 34, 45, 67, etc. Then there was a big debate about how as long as the 2 cards could connect to make a str8 they're "connectors". As usual I'm still on the fence and confused. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] ROFL All-in on a K-J-Tr "You got the flush?" [/ QUOTE ] ROFL indeed. [/ QUOTE ] I can't believe none of you guys realized he asked, "You got the flush draw?" The "...draw" part got chopped off when he saw his opponent turn over the straight before he could finish his sentence. First of all, it wasn't KJTr, it was K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. This is something donkeys do all the time -- he bets out with top 2, gets raised, 3-bets, and his opponent comes over the top all-in. Instead of folding, he puts the guy on the only hand that would push that is behind top 2: that's a flush draw (Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] might do this, with the OESD + 2nd nut flush draw; also, A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] x[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] might do this with the nut flush draw and gutshot). So he calls and says (praying) "you got the flush- draw?" But after "flush-" the guy turns over Q9 so Top 2 just shakes his head and prays for his 4 outer, which the gods are nice enough to give him. I'm not saying the guy isn't a fish -- clearly he is -- but at least he knows that you need 5 spades, not 4, for a flush. [/ QUOTE ] I was almost positive that one of those "spades" was actually a club. And didn't the Mouth or somebody yell out "the flush?!?" in hilarity? Can anybody else chime in? |

Actually, the first two shows covered Days 1B and 1C.
The original plan announced by 411 Productions was to cover Days 1A, 1B, 1C, and 2AB and NOT cover Days 1D and 2CD. That plan was changed when Joe Hachem chose to play on Day 1D. Hachem spent all of Day 1D at the TV table, which was "Table 151" if "my memory serves me correctly". |

Hey if 69 offsuit isn't a connector nothing is. (Especially if she's hot...) |
