Dealers already knew that they would get a mandatory tip, they thought they may get more, so that is a disappointment. That's just human nature.

Some people in this thread say the toke was 12K per casino worker, if that is correct that seems already considerable.

What I would do in this case would be to give 100K to charity in the name of the casino personal. That should take care of that chump talk and it would not artificially increase the take on entry fees.

I consider myself a generous tipper, and I have travelled to foreign countries where people have absolutely refused my tips despite the fact they can barely afford what we consider the necessities of life.

A dealer should appreciate the tip given to him, considering he is already making a salary at a job the proverbial monkey can do.

If any dealer would show attitude about a toke, like others have mentioned above, I would take it back, tell him to go fcuk himself and give it to the waitress or a poor person outside. Then I would take sadistic pleasure in watching him deal to me for hours with no bonus, as it is his job requirement. I have done this once because of a jerk off dealer.

Let's see, $12,000/6 weeks = $2000/week in tips. With that in mind, no wonder a dealer is insulted by an additional $100. (Where can I sign up?)

Oh, that's the MOST. So, I would guess the average at somewhere over $1000/week in tips. How shabby.

And has anyone reported on the circumstances of this. Did the champ, er chump, reach into his wallet and find a hundred and a few ones in there and give the C to the final dealer? If that was the case would it change anybodys opinion?

This just makes it even more ridiculous. The dealers probably think anybody who tips in addition to that to be the real chumps.

I think the 2% cut is plenty. Dealers make good money anyhow why should poker players tip all there money a way. As for calling him a chump for not tipping more ........the real chumps are the ones like YOU giving huge tips away .....STUPID,CONFUSEING, and soon to go BROKE with that mentality [img]/images/graemlins/ooo.gif[/img]

I dunno about everyone else, but I found this post to be extremely enlightening. I'll never be STUPID and CONFUSEING again, and therefore I will avoid going broke.
