Oh wow, I just realised how puny your pint is compared to ours. Losers.

[ QUOTE ] Guys, Please clarify what is meant when you say 'beer', thanks. Is this a 330ml can? [/ QUOTE ] Some are using a 12 oz (approx a 350 ml can) beer when saying 'beer.' Others are using a 16 oz Pint measurement when saying 'beer.' A 15.5 US Gallon Keg (known as a "Half-Barrel") contains 1,984 fluid ounces. This equates to 165.33 12-oz beers or 124 16-oz beers. Based on some of the comments here, it appears that this feat could possibly be done by persons with the right body type, liver function, and high tolerance levels -- though I strongly believe that the risks and potential for damage to the body make this a very poor decision, and I caution against it. I'm sure one of you guys could deliberately cut off your pinky with a bandsaw and have it reattached and "good as new" after a while. But I wouldn't recommend this either. How about just drinking 15.5 gallons of milk in 48 hours without puking? [/ QUOTE ] All this talk has been about a PONY KEG??? A KIDDY KEG?!?!?! Sighhhh... Let me know when we are actually talking about a keg. I'm only 135 lbs. Me and a couple friends use to dust off pony kegs in a weekend like it was nothing. I'm guessing a 300+ lb man will have little to no problems with this in 48 hours... I've lost interest. |

A pony keg is a quarter barrel. A regular keg is a half barrel. Pony keg = approx 80 beers, we're talking about twice that.

Now I feel ripped off and it's making my head hurt. [censored] this, I'm going golfing and drink some [censored] beer. |

I could be wrong about this, but I don't think "full barrels" are used by anyone except maybe breweries.

[/ QUOTE ] The regular, aluminum "big kegs" you see at restaruants and bars and consider "full size" are what are called in the industry "half-barrels." Typical cost for a macrobrew like Bud might be around $70 US at your local megalomart. Here is a page with visual point of reference for you: http://www.stonebrew.com/tasting/kegs/index.html |

Anyone from Madison has had this conversation many times. I haven't been many other places that refer to them as barrels (where everyone knows it's really a half barrel). And a keg is a half barrel. So you were either buying "some barrels" which meant some half barrels, a keg - 1 half barrel, or a quarter barrel for smaller gatherings. Anyways, I'm gonna go continue to work on our keg.

puking should not be allowed.
this challenge is definitely doable but by no means easy. Two of my roommates tried to do 100 beers is 3 days. One was almost dead at the end of day two. The other guy got really sick with like 12 hours left and couldn't finish the last 7 beers. We had an awesome beer pyramid after that at least. I want to see someone do the case of 40s of OE challenge. |

Because milk doesn't get you drunk and it would just be gross? Now if the milk was used to mix white russians...... [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, the cross-reference was the classic prop bet "bet you can't drink one gallon of milk in one hour without puking." |
