I was dabbling around with the Sklansky Bucks PHP-script calculator again. Ofcourse I should be due quite some Sklansky bucks.

But I was thinking, shouldn't that be normal for a better-than-average player? Aren't we supposed to get the money in when we're ahead way more often than when we're behind?

If you're not going to put a lot of money in when you're behind, how are you going to "win back" the Sklansky bucks?

Or is my EV-thinking way off here?

One thing that it really is good for, though, is to monitor whether you actually are getting the money in ahead (avg EV 4 ai situations).
Other than that, it's really only s a whining tool.

If you're in a 50/50 coinflip, and lose it, you lost 50% of that pot in EV. Now, if you win it, you have gained twice as much sklansky bucks as you should. Thus, you've gained more sklansky bucks.

Same thing for a 80/20 situation. If you win it, you've actually gotten paid more (20% of the pot) than you should have in sklansky bucks.
