Can someone explain the FPP system on Stars? I'm thinking about making a new account on there and getting rakeback/whatever bonuses there are/this FPP thing..

im on an 8 buy in downswing right now, my rate for the moth is 2ptbb/100 now. very nasty. not bad for a 12 tabler though i guess.

[/ QUOTE ]

moved back down to 50NL yet again due to a 12k hand 12 buyin downswing at 100NL. maybe about two or three of those could have been avoided. losing 4 3:1 all in favs and a bunch of other garbage can really hurt. -4ptbb

btw, i believe you were villian here. played this a few weeks ago, but just recently discovered who you are on Stars, i think.

anyways, why just call the flop? push looks better to me since you're gonna call a raise anyways, and you should want to protect your hand against draws since the shortie bloated it. if you dont push and a draw comes in you're hurt.

The reasoning behind this play is subtle, but you did what i wanted you to do. too bad your draw was that strong

You 12-table 100NL full time, right?

Bottom line, is that once you hit Supernova you'll make approx 33% rakeback.

It will take you 2-3 months to hit Supernova.

Until then you will be Platinum which is about 24% rakeback.

Just save your points and buy the Supernova Bonus.

wtf, are you seriously trying to play 24 tables? That's ridiculous. Why don't you try and play 4-6 tables and become a much better player?

dont mean to be a nit, but those of you who think you're 3+ptbb winners haven't experienced the dark side of variance or are ignoring it when determining results. a few 50k hand stretches where big winners are standard losers will really decimate the winrate of a sub 500k sample.

or maybe someday i'll be winning at 3+ptbb. that will take a very long time though since my only couple 100k hands played have been infected with many heavy coolers. sometimes i think that maybe i just suck, but it doesn't seem that's the case because i've been trying hard for a long while, and a seemingly disproportionately large amount of my deep pots where i got in good were lost, and only a small percentage of my deep pots i got it in bad. didn't The Main go on an 80k breakeven stretch at 1/2? that must've annihilated his winrate when evaluated next to the previous and latter 80k hand stretches.

anyways, i guess im saying it'd be nice to see large, substantial samples when claiming how great of winners you guys are. if 1p0kerboy may be + or - $10,000 after 1mil hands (im guessing that'll be somewhere between 1/10th-1/15th actual money won) then variance at the 100k mark must be ginormous.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm lifetime 3.02ptBB/100 at NL100 on Stars over a 415k sample size.

And I've had enough of people that say "don't mean to be a nit" when they clearly do. Also, confidence is a big part of being a continual winning player, and people that come in here and say "lol, you think you're good? [censored] you and the small sample you rode in on" aren't helping anything - I see it all the time. It's fine to beat the dead variance horse to someone that says "I think I suck, look how much I'm losing", but to do it to people that are just having a good time making some money and not lording it over everyone like they're the best is being a killjoy.

Does betgo play under the same name on FT? If so, congrats on winning a Main Event seat (came in 10th I believe.)
