Maine with 7 k's after 3 innings. Great start to the game. Come on Mets keep putting up runs and Maine put up 0's.

You gotta be kidding me. Just tuning in now, what happened?

At least Milledge is almost healed. I believe he has been making his rehab starts this week.

Gomez broke his hand while check swinging. He is getting surgery tonight. Willie in yesterday's Newark Star-Ledger said that Milledge is "in his sights." Take that for what you will but it says to me that he wants to bring him up ASAP.

BTW, I think I am back from the ledge after today's overall performance. Beltran at least just avoided 4 k's in one game. He will get another at bat you would thing though.

Wow. Maine is just rearing back.

Edit: That was really fun to watch him vs Berkman and Lee. Though I think strike 2 vs Berkman was little shaky(the check swing/appeal).

^^seriously, the stros had a chance to get back in and he just shut the door completely after the first two...he's just a bit under 100 pitches now...hopefully he comes back out and can give them another inning...

4-4 tonight. That is good news for him. I think if he can get hot here before the all star break and push that average to near .250 the 2nd half can be a very good one for him. Good to see Beltran take one deep too. Billy needs a quick bottom of the inning though, don't want to lose him for tomorrow considering this is a 4 game set.
