Tommy Glavine is the most NOW athlete on the Mets. Why didn't ESPN think of him?

Thank God Aaron Sele is on our team. Mets wouldn't be leading the division if it weren't for him.

Is it just me or do the Mets just seem like they don't care once they get down in a game by more than 2 runs this year?

I mean last year if a team jumped out to a 3 or 4 or even 5 run lead I never thought that they were out of it. Now if the Mets are down by 3 runs I feel like the game is already over. They stop working the count, the just start swinging at anything...like they just want to go home or back to their hotel.

Maybe it's just me...?

It definitely seems like it, but that may be because last year we probably ran very, very, very, very good in terms of comeback victories, walk-off wins, etc.

We're still on pace to be a 93 win team, so I'd guess that includes our fair share of reasonable comebacks.

so we got Jason Vargas and Mike Pelfrey instead of Perez and Sosa... and Glavine just gave it up to Holliday (cue the guy who hates Glavine plz) and I'm about to go on baseball autopilot for a while and find something else to watch lol. The Mets are so frustrating.

Guys guys, I'm really sorry about not jumping over Tom Glavine the instant this happened, and I promise it will never happen again. I was actually traveling to Colorado with my friend who lives there, I was in Nebraska at the time. Anyway Glavine you suck I hate you, you can't even get pitchers out you are a bum, etc etc etc etc.

I saw the game last night. The Mets scored 2 in the 1st I explained to my friend how with Jason Vargas on the mound it was pretty much an auto win for the Rockies anyway and he shouldnt worry. So So gross, how did this guy ever get 6 wins? How did Tom Glavine get 297???? OH right, before he dawned the Mets uniform he was actually good, forgot.

This is just pitiful. Willie, PUT IN AARON SELE. This is getting ridiculous, your pitcher is throwing Eupheus pitches. He shouldn't be in the game. He walks the bases loaded, and you stick with him after he's thrown 75+ pitches in 3 innings. Seriously, USE AARON SELE.
