two moves to consider...

,,Nf3 - blocks the f pawn, threatens the G pawn and therefore keeps the B on the current diagonal.; but he can threten it with Ke4 and there's no place to go with it other than making a sacrifice for the pawn, or the dreaded rim.

...nb3 is safe for the N but it takes about two more moves (a5, c6) to get it where it does some good.

we have to move the N, otherwise it's captured by the B

I think Nf3 is a horrible line, I'd put it right next to TimM's comment about Nf1, we can say it does not lose. Hopefully!
Knights belong behind passed pawns not in front of them. We've got a chance with Nb3 to get our knight back to some active squares and Nf3 seems like its flirting with danger. Who cares about his bishop being tied to the g-pawn, it's also cuting off most of our good knight squares.

Yes Nb3 takes two moves but one of them is a check if he attacks our knight. This is not the kind of position where tempo are what we should be counting, its about getting the pieces on the best squares, we both have some time to play around a bit, but not with Nf3 (no valued added)

OK, I'm now getting over my short term shock that Nf3 is in the lead...(vote wise)

One other point worth pointing out, we should be fine with white trying to take the pawn at b7. The idea is that while he zigs and zags to b7 we've positioned our king along with our knight to eat up the kingside.
