it's very sustainable at NL25, please shutup. [/ QUOTE ] I didn't say it isn't sustainable. I said 3800 hands doesn't prove a thing. Apples & oranges. |

Running even halfway decent at 25NL will probably pay you off. Running good will really pay you off. What more is there to say?

SSNL,
i have read through this thread from start to finish. i learned something from this thread. FreakDaddy came off as a clown in his OP. Realizing this he tried to change his tune, but still looked like a clown. Therefore, he is actually a clown. Mods, Please lock this thread, it is truly retarded. FreakDaddy, sorry, bro. i call 'em how i see 'em. Regards, NESS |

I said a reasonable sample size...post your stats (I want a PT screenshot), when you have 50k hands, and we'll talk. BTW, I think 20PTBB is probably about the max for someone, although someone capable of that is not staying long enough at NL25 to find out. [/ QUOTE ] ![]() These are all the hands I've played in the last month and a half. I know it's not a huge sample size like 50k hands but I don't play enough to generate that kind of sample size in a short peroid of time. At the rate I play 50k hands would be like 6-8months of playing, by that time the results are spread out so far that I don't think they'd be an accurate indication of my style of play. Besides, I don't plan on sticking around 25nl forever just to prove that sustaining a 20-25PTBB/100 winrate is possible. Since the middle of December, when I started playing 25NL at party, I've played over 23,000 hands of 25nl and every month my winrate has gone up as I learned the game. It's not like this is my first time playing and just started crushing the game through dumb luck. |

Thats a drop in the bucket in the grand scheme of things. I will try to dig up some good threads about how long the long run is and how long it takes to figure out a true winrate this evening as I know its a ton more than people say it is. Short blocks like this might prove you are a winning player but it doesnt mean that this winrate is sustainable over an extended period of time. Like the poster said, bring me a screen shot of 50K hands and then we can discuss how attainable a 20PTBB/100 winrate is. |

I think it was a great post to post an entire session. 50% of the responses have been nc hate posts.
I think this was a good thread, interesting to see all hands in context after each other. Nice post! |

I'm confused as to why this is even posted. Why would you change your play style over 50k hands, even over 6-8 months, if you are winning at 22PTBB/100?
Listen, I gaurantee you every single person in this forum that has played tens of thousands of hands can post a 10k hand sample where they ran hot...its meaningless, and far from proves that its sustainable over a reasonable length of time...which is the whole point, which is still unproven by this...whatever this is. |

I take back my bitching in this thread about the OP. After experimenting with a much more LAG style in a long session today I was going to start a thread to discuss playing lag and ask some questions, but this thread already has some really good info.
What I really realised after today was the effectiveness of showing some wild bluffs, making the TAG players overplay their hands back at you. I stacked a few otherwise solid boring players when they played really marginal hands against me for their whole stack... tilting people is great fun too. This is a bit of a big thread bump but I figured it is better than starting a new thread. |
