I fixed the minimize bug. I like the speed.

Party is gonna ban us for speeding.

Do you mean the Table list or the Client list? How do you want to change them?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, make them a bit wider I guess. That was your idea IIRC. I can do that though.

Ugh. I guess those are worth doing. At some point, we should announce this as Version1, and make an announcement. I can't imagine anybody is reading this far into the thread except for you and me.

Yeah, this is has become a two-man thread.

sam and roland,

i finally get to use this cool script. it was great watching it come together and being privy to the thought processes that went into it.

"bump"---as i foresee i-witness becoming rather popular in the wake of juk's recent release.

cheers and thanks guys,
sean

I fixed a bug where %which_limit% wasn't being recorded, especially on start-up. I also added %limit_name%, so we can display human-readable limits. ("$5/$10" instead of "7".)

I was going to widen the display lists, but it looks like you're doing all sorts of fancy arithmetic there. After widening the table-list, the gui is going to be plenty wide to hold both "settings" and "prefs" in the same tab. (I don't really know why they were separated. Aren't the words synonymous?) While cutting 3 tabs down to 2 is nice, I'd probably even prefer the gui as one big tab like before, but I'm flexible on that. I'm even fine with your cream/yellow/tan color.

Besides gui changes, what functionality or bugs do we still have to add? I think this thing is almost ready for 1.0. Which is nice, because I think it's about to get a lot more popular.

Well, I'm working on multiple limit support. In fact, I'm done and it's working perfectly but this networking [censored] is complicated.

This is amazing stuff, guys. Well done!

One feature I miss though: button to close all observed tables.

Will be available in the next version. (I already have it - you wouldn't believe how many times I opened and closed 10 Party tables these last few days. Probably like 300 times. )

RE: BUG REPORT--KICKED OFF INTERNET CONNECTION WHILST USING iWITNESS (with that free program)

The problem has occured three times so far where i am kicked off my internet (cable) connection and absolutely cannont reconnect. I have tried numerous things including the "repair" function in the LAN section of control panel, which does not work either because it cannot recognize any connection. The only way i have been able to regain my internet connection is to reboot my system.

I was running the following: iwitness, freeprogram, party, zone alarm (firewall and spyware), norton (virus), process guard and snoopfree.....to be thourough---process tamer, freeRAM xp pro and firefox as well).

As a test I tried using the free program manually for a couple of hours earlier in the night and had no problems---once i started using iwitness again i get completely booted off my internet connection after about 20minutes.

I have no idea what might be causing the problem? If you have any suggestions i would be most appreciative. I will post with any further developments (read:hopefully no more sudden upluggings).

cheers,
sean

ps.
It seems unwise to run these without snoopfree and process guard thus i haven't tried that yet.

edit
...just happened again....here is the error message when trying to repair or reconnect the connection.
