Except possibly if Liverpool pick up a bunch of nice people, and probably not even then, I don't see Man United falling out of the top 2 let alone the top 4. Same with Chelsea.

I think next year is looking very much like this year. Manchester United and Chelsea fighting for the top spot, Arsenal and Liverpool getting 3 and 4 solidly behind them. I think it more likely that Arsenal or Liverpool merely qualify for the UEFA Cup than Manchester United or Chelsea not qualifying directly to the group stage of the Champions League.

Milan sounds like theyre rabid over getting Henry. I think Arsenal needs to start looking for more young strikers since the rest of their team is so young. I honestly think that getting rid of Henry is the right move.

More young strikers? van persie and adebayor are 23, bendtner is 19, and vela's only 18.

One thing Arsenal definitely needs next year is consistency and for the starting players to stay healthy for us to have a chance.

I think both Arsenal/Liverpool will struggle next year to challenge for the league... I can't really see ManUtd letting it slip...

However, Henry is all but gone IMO, ....

Chelsea need to strengthen...they suffer when they lose a defender...they have the left side covered but no real depth in defence....makelele is past it...however, Essien and Obi Mikel are fking awesome players....Essien is easily in my Prem Dream Team...

I think the only team that can challenge Spurs for Pedersen is Liverpool, but they have Kewell (Who Benitez [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]'s) and Zenden and Gonzalez although 2 or all of them are likely to go !

Utd still have no real depth in their squad defence wise either...So it'll be interesting to see who they buy..I think Hargreaves is a mistake, as he doesn't offer anything that Carrick doesn't and his passing isn't as good...but then I was never a big fan of Carrick...

I think Tottenham should buy :

Curtis Davies (W.Brom)
Pedersen & Bentley (B'Burn) and maybe someone as cover up front and I genuinely can't see how we won't challenge for the 3/4th spot..

We finished 5th in 2005/2006 and only lost on last day to suspect food poisoning...

We finished 5th in 2006/2007, and :

* We had no naturally left footed player in LM for the entire season..which I think is disgraceful at this level..
* We were missing our best player for 90% of the season (think Chelsea without Terry, Utd without Rio) and you get the picture on how crucial a great centre half is...
* We challenged on 3 fronts... :

Carling Cup Semi Final where we went too defensive too early...
Fa Cup Qtr Final in which Chelsea were played off the park and they then went 2-5-3 after 40 minutes for the remainder of the game and we still almost went 4-1 up which would have put them to bed...
Uefa Cup Qtr Final where we were robbed in the 1st leg by an horrendous refereeing decision...

Also, its worth noting that from the top 4 teams...we got 4 pts...out of a possible 24.... If this can be addressed and we get 8-10pts and all of a sudden we are 2-3pts behind Liverpool and Arsenal...

I may sound like everyone does when supporting their team which I guess is to be expected...but there is genuine belief within Spurs fnas now...As a club :

*We are the 5th most successful club in English History
*We need to upgrade our facilities in the sense we need another 10,000 seats at our ground....(capacity 36,344 , our avg last season was 35,988*)
*We are probably the 3-4th most supported club in England..
*We are the 11th richest club in the world, yet have never played Champions league football...
*We have a great crop of young players and a team that is maturing ...

quite interesting to see some rather obscure teams on the list

In other news, in 2006 fat frank lampard was the 6th best paid footballer in the world, hahahahahahaha as if that beefcake gets paid so much

i really love what moyes is doing at everton right now. He's hit on a lot of his transfer targets and has spent the rooney money great. Supposedly he's going to be making a move for David Nugent which would be amazing for everton. Well, getting Nugent would be great for any club IMO. I'm a big fan of him

I agree, one of my best mates from uni is a PNE fan and i follow them closely myself these days and have been to quite a few games.

Nugent is a very talented player and would fit in well at Everton, i would'nt be suprised if he outperforms andy johnson

In an effort to cut lighting costs at Stamford Bridge this season, the club introduced these beauties:

In actual transfer news, it looks like defender Tal Ben Haim is on his way to the Blues.

While the idea of playing with a glow in the dark ball and everyone in glow in the dark jerseys sounds like a lot of fun (I guess you can play golf this way) those are awful.
