has anyone ever had their account hacked by a joyrider and find extra money in it?

like they wanted to play high stakes, and ended up winning money for you?

[/ QUOTE ]
I was playing once when my account was hacked. He went all in with an open ender (I was being coached so I know) and hit it but it was only for ~ $50. Then he left to cash out into my bank account strange enough lol. Within 5 min my account was locked on Party.

I actually know the kid that hacked into Raymer's account. I go to school with him. I heard through the grapevine that the password was something ridiculously easy.

I saw that Raymer asked to be informed of the hacker's real name, since PokerStars won't disclose it. I e-mailed him and PMed him on this site, no response as I figured.

Anyway, I guess there are pathetic people out there with enough time to guess a pro's password, but if you have 100k+ in your account, you should probably be more clever when choosing a password, Mr. Raymer.

Lol.

Seriously though, what kind of a sick person would try guessing someone's password without having anyway of knowing whether the password is even guessable?

Haha, that's what I said. Supposedly he was working at it all night and got it early in the morning (4 or 5am is what I heard).. I guess everyone heard that he played for an hour or two against himself before getting caught because he was using 2 similiar IP addresses.

If anybody can explain why having a separate login ID name would be a problem for the sites, I'd love to hear. If there is no such problem, I'll lobby PS to get it done.

[/ QUOTE ]

pls do, atleast something good might come out of this...

[ QUOTE ]
I'm going to repeat that the option to "only allow me to log-in from this computer" should be considered.

[/ QUOTE ] Actually B2b network site s already have this as option (and you can even fill in 3 other IPs (if you are goin away or have two homes or WHAT ever.. so it cant be that hard... THIS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED FOR ALL SITES

[ QUOTE ]
I also like the idea of the secureID badges as pictured by burningyen in this thread. I remember having one of these things when I worked at Pfizer so I could log into my email and stuff from home, and get work done while not at the office. When you try to log into the system, you must enter your user ID, password, and the 8 digit number generated by the secureID device. The number changes every 30 seconds or something, and the number of my device is not the same as the number on anybody else's device at any given moment. Thus, the system knows that it is really me logging in, or at least somebody who has stolen my user ID, password, AND the physical secureID device generating the random number. Hackers, even those with spyware and keyloggers, have no shot at getting into your account unless they also have physical possession of the secureID device.

I'll mention this to PS. Maybe they can implement it for players with more than some minimum amount of money in their account. Obviously this solution is too expensive to implement for every customer, especially those with only play money. Heck, even if PS was going to make me pay for the service, I would do so.

[/ QUOTE ] anD again, this cant be that hard as REDBET (b2b) site have this application going, so pls implement this solution for mid-high stakes players... im sure ppl would even pay for this with FPPs or cash even

When I broke into Mithra's acct while he went snowboarding, I used an algorithm that generates thousands of passwords every few secs. Who the hell guesses one by one?

This guy is probably just trying to get Raymer to beat up the guy who bullies him at school. He must have heard about what Raymer did to those two robbers, and figures FossilMan can take out the jerk from the football team.
