snowbank, i've concluded that you're pretty pathetic.

[/ QUOTE ]
It's hard to conclude otherwise with the given knowledge.

Now it's personal, as I am sure that snowbank is sort of pissed that he has been trashed by OP in front of all his friends, and will refuse to hook-up OP with any deal for the remaining moneys. The irony is that Snowbank was (as previously mentioned) legally in the right, since the "contract" didnt have any refund stipulations. But now that he will likely deny OP any coaching for his remaining 3 hours out of spite, he is in the wrong.

Snowbank has sold 3 more hours of his coaching, and if OP wants someone else to receive the hours, then so be it.

Disclaimer: I have never met or conversed with snowbank.

I just want to vouch for snowbank since a bunch of dorks who don't know anything about him keep spouting off their opinions. I met snowbank thru Bill Ivey when Bill recommended I use him for rakeback. Snowbank sat on the phone with me for seriously 3 hours trying to figure out how to get me rakeback on PP. I didn't even know this guy and he was sending me 2k+ a month in rakeback with almost nothing in it for him.

During this period we talked a lot about poker. It was clear from our many strategy discussions that he was a great poker player who really understood the game. It is no secret he was THE player to beat in 1/2 by a long shot over an extended period of time. I would always try to get him to move up because I knew what a great player he was, but he was a bankroll nit and enjoyed just crushing the smaller games.

Fast forward to September when Snowbank decides to move down to Tucson, AZ where I go to school. Ever since then, he and I have spent countless hours playing cards together (there are posts about hands we have played live). During this time, it became even more obvious to me that snowbank really was legit and not just some decent player who can only beat SSNL.

More importantly, I have spent a lot of time with Snowbank away from the poker tables since he has moved here. I can tell everyone that he is the nicest, coolest kid. When I think of ethical guys, he is at the top of the list. That's why I am so shocked to hear people calling him out like this.

I'm not really interested in getting involved in all the drama, but I will say that Snowbank did nothing wrong in not giving this guy his money back. If the dude didn't have enough confidence in Snowbanks abilities, he should have only taken one session at a time or not used his services at all. To me, the PSJ just sounds like a whiney bitch who lost his roll and is looking to toss the blame somewhere.

FWIW, I've spoken to snowbank on AIM. I really feel bad for him that not enough people have defended him and that loads of people (typical 2p2 mentality) are jumping to conclusions here and trashing his name without just cause at all.

I know he's going to reply here shortly, so I don't really want to say too much about it, but IMO, with regards to the orig poster, its pretty obv that snowbank is in the right and OP in the wrong. OP signed up for a set amount of lessons for a set price. He doesnt have the right to a refund just because he wants one....thats pretty obvious.

Yes, you're friends with Snowbank, and he's probably a nice guy, enjoyable to be around and play poker with. Furthermore, NO ONE doubts he's a great player. But we're talking about his business coaching players over AIM, and his decision to not refund a dude for lessons that weren't given. I think it's revealing that multiple people have come forward with similar negative experiences being coached by him.
