having a list of ppl allowed to make threads is uber-lame. anyone should be free to start a thread, just moderate aggressively and lock/ban as needed.

All: Thanks for your interest and suggestions. I'll put together a list and make some additions over the next couple of days. Note that everyone I add to the list will be people who I am familiar with your posting history already. If I'm not, you might still be an excellent poster, but I just haven't noticed your stuff. If that's the case and you want to post here, just keep making good suggestions for stuff to discuss here, start some great threads in OOT, and participate in threads in this forum. Then I'll notice your excellent posting and add you to the list. If you think that all sounds like a big pain in the ass to post on a stupid Internet forum, yeah, I agree.

mike: Anyone who thinks it is uber-lame has a ton of other places in 2+2 to post. I understand your position, I just disagree and feel like there's a benefit to restrictions of this nature. Part of what I'm hoping for here is really good interaction WITHOUT the need for excessively aggressive moderation and tons of locks/bans.

I've been toying for a while with starting a thread that could be a comprehensive guide for men's fashion, specifically fashion for "going out." What to wear in general, specific items, etc. I don't think the Lounge would have quite the right user base (at this point), and I don't think OOT will be right, either. This forum, however, seems like just the spot.
