Me new job, I get 80 hours a year, earned at 3.08 hrs every two weeks from time of hire. So, I became perm in Oct, so I dragged about 18 hours over( you have to go three months before you can use them), which has awready come in handy for the hangovers n aw.
You can carry over 40 hours every year. Also, we HAVE to take one week, Mon-Fri, off(paid) for "let's see if they're doing anything sketchy & let's see how bad we miss 'em" reasons, every year. And, we don't pay for health insurance for ourselves. Usual deductibles apply, of course. This is a nine figure privately owned company, and for America these are nothing short of extraordinary bennies, esp. right outta the gate. |

There's our difference then by the looks of things.
That seems horrific and would certainly explain people not having the time to go trotting around the world watching random sporting occasions. Lori |

LOL, I get three weeks me first year, and 99.9% of all yanks have to go a full year before they get ONE week. Even government employees usually have to go a year before getting any vacation.

People in Japan have 6 day work weeks, work longer day shifts and get little, if any vacation at all.

Although almost everybody works longer than that. I work 37.5 p/w and get 23 days paid holiday a year. I've been in the company four months. This is pretty standard for the UK. |
