Actually, Now is not the problem, it's the player's resistance to the "now" that is the problem. They don't like the dry spell, the lack of good hands, etc. If they were really into the "Now" they would make the most of everything happening "now." They would pay attention to the betting patterns of the opponents, the weakness, the strengths, etc. They would collect data, they would learn. Impatience stems from lack of understanding the "Now."
