Her main problem isn't her poor play (there are plenty of horrible players) but rather her taking an INSANE amount of time for routine plays OVER AND OVER AND OVER again.

Everyone trashed on her last year for this and she was STILL DOING IT this year apparently.

She either doesn't know this is horrible etiquette or simply doesn't care.

Also "success" doesn't usually breed hardwork (aka studying/practicing/improving). The worst thing (from a quality of game perspective) that can happen to a horrible player is early success (or more accurately an early run of good luck). This convinces them they are "good" and they won't change their style, either consciously or subconsciously thinking "well it worked before..."

Failure/struggling breeds hardwork. If Tiff busts early in the next 20 tourneys she plays that would probably prompt her to begin making fundamental changes to her game.

Edit: Does anyone know what day Aaron Kanter is playing? I need to start prepping the serious LOL'AGE stuff for his inevitably hillarious exit.

Oh dear dear Tiffany. Please go back to where ever the hell you came from.

[/ QUOTE ]

That's kinda harsh, she's not a great player, but she does seem to be a nice person.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lets assume no one called the clock, how much longer do you feel she would have taken? If you cant make a decision in under 3 min, and yes it is the ME, your hand should be dead. She holds up all the other players at that table when she does that.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm not saying she doesn't take way too long, or makes horrible decisions sometimes at the table (TT hand today, AT v Raymer's KK, KJ v Sheik's AA). If you do something competitive like poker, people are going to critique your mistakes. But I disagree with making harsh comments that have nothing to do with her play.

Why do we all assume last year's idiots haven't got any better? It isn't like any of us didn't learn a lot of poker in a year. Moreover, if anybody has some incentive to improve, it's somebody like Kantor.

They probably have gotten better. However, they were extremely lucky last year. It is one thing for Raymer, Harrington, Ivey, or Matusow to go deep repeatedly in these big fields. It is very unlikely the same "donks" will repeat.

I have stated this before and created a lot of controversy. I don't think either Kanter or Willaimson are good players, but they are not as bad as they appear. If you don't play scared, you have a shot. I particularly think Kanter is a competent low to mid limit player who got lucky, partly due to his aggressive style.

And Hellmuth lost with the same hand as last year, AQ v 77.

ZBT is crippled. He just called me. Was up to around 19k or so, last hand before break he picked up KK in the sb. Button comes in on a limp, brian raises to 600, button repops to 2000. Brian said he had come over him 4 times o far in 4 hours, so he pushed. Button calls with AA and your mod is down to t625 @ the 100/200 level.

superfluous man up to 23k

He picks up K-K in the sb. Blinds are 50/100. CO makes it $300, Leo 3-bets to $1000, the [censored] 4-bets it to $3000, and Leo calls.

Flop is J-9-x. Check-check. Leo was intending to ch/push this.

Turn is a 7. Leo bets $3000 and the guy calls.

River is an 8. It goes check-check and Leo's kings are good.

edit: justin's 25k number sounds more recent, awesome
