Give people instant rakeback, say 25 percent.
Make your promotion "Get paid to play", even though they are not. Go over the top and allow up to 50 tables at once. Most important, don't give out useable HH's. |

1. Kill pots / half kill pot tables... Never seen them online
2. Do whatever Pacific did to attract customers when they started.. Id much rather play 1 table like that then 10 party tables any day. |

And we do give out useable HH's on the harddrive, but with a catch: Players can change their nicknames once every seven days. We saw this issue growing months ago and designed all our system from the ground up to allow players to do this. For example, your onsystem notes will track to the player, regardless of their nickname change. But for anyone using tracking data, the nickname change means your never certain you have the correct data on a player. We're going to allow players to take nicknames that other players relinquish. So your data on player BobDonkey might actually be on BobDonkey who played like a newbie for a few weeks, but the new guy BobDonkey is really a shark. While we're not doing straight rakeback, we're doing something thats much more visually appealing and it's tested very well with the casual poker players. It's bringing in players who are fun ("loose") players as they simply enjoy hunting for our exclusive Gold Cards. While we're still polishing up the site and haven't hardly advertised, we're seeing slow but steady growth through word of mouth. We're not going to gas the marketing until we're completely content with the site. That said, we're still giving out cash for play every single day. It would take to long to explain in this thread. Check out the previous post I made on Gold Cards and the Gold Card 500 race we're running running to see more. |

Hi folks,
Acutally, I need your folk's guidance. =) We want to tweak the next 500 race to allow players from the lower limits to have a better shot at competing, while still being fair to the upper limit players. On this race, the 5 players who are out in front simply hit a $5/$10 FL and basically cruised their way into the $2,500, $2,000 and $1,500 prize values. There wasn't much competition for them, so for about 15 hours of play, they made quite a bit of cash. We want to help spread that out to the smaller tables, but yet still run this race. Thoughts? I have one concerning handicapping, but I'll wait to see what you folks think. |
