This should be pretty easy for seasoned drinkers. 36 hours would be a more reasonable time frame. You people betting against them are retarded.

7 and a half gallons each... 3.75 gallons of beer per day... thats 500 ounces of beer per person per day.

This is not doable. You need 6 hours of sleep somewhere in this 48 hours to have any chance. This means about 24 ounces of beer per hour for every hour you are not asleep, for 42 hours.

If you go to any decent-sized party school college campus, you could probably find a couple of guys that could do this in 24 hours. I couldn't do this now, but my personal record for light beers in a single sitting (which was less than 24 hours) is 63.

If you had a world class liver, and could process 1.5 drinks per hour, this means that you will be piling on .5 drinks per hour onto your BAC.

Assuming you sleep for the middle 6 hours (after 21 hours), and that you weigh 200 pounds, after the first 21 hours your BAC will be around .40.

When you wake up your BAC will be somewhere around .25

After the 2nd stint of 21 hours, your BAC will be about .65

At .3 most people lose consciousness, at .45 most people die.

This really doesn't hold true for people who have been consitantly drinking heavily for years.

this is somewhat easily done for a couple guys that drink a lot on a regular basis. it really seems worse than it is. The guy above is assuming all of the alcohol is going to be absorbed. We used to do 100 beer weekends in college from friday after class until sunday at dinner. it ran for a little more than 48 hours, but it was a whole extra case per person. I would go something like this:

5pm friday to 5am saturday--30 beers
noon saturday to 6pm--18 beers
6pm to 10-Nap
10-5am--18 beers
noon sunday-5 sunday--15 beers

make sure to eat lots and hydrate somewhat, it makes it much easier to handle the next day. throw in the occasional beer mixed with bloody mary mix. tomato juice kills hangovers, thats why bloody mary's are the morning drink of choice. anyway, i got 5 bucks says they can do it. loser should also have to buy the pizza, taco bell, etc.

You do realize pjn weighs about 350 right? And you've read his previous stories of alcohol consumption?

Guys,

Please clarify what is meant when you say 'beer', thanks. Is this a 330ml can?

Some are using a 12 oz (approx a 350 ml can) beer when saying 'beer.' Others are using a 16 oz Pint measurement when saying 'beer.'

A 15.5 US Gallon Keg (known as a "Half-Barrel") contains 1,984 fluid ounces. This equates to 165.33 12-oz beers or 124 16-oz beers.

Based on some of the comments here, it appears that this feat could possibly be done by persons with the right body type, liver function, and high tolerance levels -- though I strongly believe that the risks and potential for damage to the body make this a very poor decision, and I caution against it.

I'm sure one of you guys could deliberately cut off your pinky with a bandsaw and have it reattached and "good as new" after a while. But I wouldn't recommend this either.

How about just drinking 15.5 gallons of milk in 48 hours without puking?

Because milk doesn't get you drunk and it would just be gross? Now if the milk was used to mix white russians......
