Is in you "overcards" mod 10's is normal 10's? What about pocket cards, its bigger too?

yes, in OverCards - they use the same characters as pokerstars, and yes the pocket cards are oversized also

i hate having to quote myself here, but now it appears that the gx.ini file that i posted in the larger fonts topic has been rendered obsolete by pokerstars.

i would recommend that people find a different means of communicating mods other than an open forum - though i doubt it will help [img]/images/graemlins/mad.gif[/img]

I'm kinda glad I didn't share it at that sunday. If I would have, we would be without cards again. However I'm glad that I posted I had a working mod. I didn't expect someone else to come up with a good mod though, but the mods of Gnumsploitz and Bar Nuthin are fantastic. It's good to see that there are some very ambitious people out there, who can even make something that seemed impossible to me possible.

I discovered my version by accident and I knew a software update could cripple it, now it already has been crippled, if you just want to verify I had/have a working mod, here's how I did it:

1. Use the code in this post and save it as gx.ini in the PokerStars\Themes\default\ directory.

Now change the following five lines in that file:

2. Arrange the cards like the ones in the Pokerstars\Gx\chips&amp;deck\deck\default\deck.bmp file and overwrite the old file. The file has now a size of 3900x70 (78*50x70).

3. To get rid of the black corners, create a new file called deck.a.bmp in that directory, which is basically 78 times the 50x70 cardbase.a.bmp file.

This proves that if PokerStars wanted they could make card modding as easy as before. I'd just post the files, but I'm not at home till christmas.

the decks i have are rolled into an executable (exe) file, so - no you wouldn't need a batch file - however you wouldn't be able to edit the cards either.

if you want just the raw image files - send me a pm - if you come up with your own deck that you like i can put them into an installer (exe) for you also.

I think you should send KLJ these cards since he was occupied with his "20K hands / 24 hours" Stars challenge during the download period. See BBV for details.

Also, I discovered yesterday your Palletes need fixing on the alpha masks - While your a.bmp files have full white (255,255,255) as visible colour, this is not at index 255 in the pallete - it is about 240 or so - this means the white of the letters is (only just) semi-transparent, causing BetPot to fail to determine street (there is no pure white visible). Stars uses pallete index rather than colour to determine transparency level it would seem.

I fixed this by saving the pallete from an original .a.bmp file and applying it to yours - does the job. I thought you may want to know this for future use [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
