Default Re: Is movie \"Munich\" propoganda?

[ QUOTE ]
and he feels it is a propoganda anti-war film that is borderline treasonous to debut in a time of war with islamic terrorists

[/ QUOTE ] Any movie can be propaganda. To say that it is treasonous to make anti-war statements shows a complete misunderstanding of the 'freedoms' we are supposed to protect. I'd suggest sending your pops back to school and having him study the what the great American freedoms are and what they mean.

[ QUOTE ]
But I do think he has a certain point that such movies act against what I believe is an important war effort.

[/ QUOTE ]
Who cares what you "believe"? The point of free speech is to encourage debate. If what you "BELIEVE" is wrong, how can you learn it if one is not allowed to discuss it? What if this was the most UNIMPORTANT war effort ever? Or if it was making things worst? But every time the subject was mentioned, people waved their flags at yelled, "treason."

[ QUOTE ]
we're at war with terrorism, they dont have a nation or flag, but they obviously have a willing army

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't mean to be rude, but this is dribble.

You can not win a war on terrorism. Especially not militarily. It hurts my brain to hear people regurgitate these meaningless platitudes.

PS- We're never going to defeat the enemy in the war on drugs either!
