have been grinding for two hours trying to break that BR record. i've been so card dead the entire time. any decent hands i did get i got in MP or EP and didnt want to play OOP.(the KJo and AJo, etc.) was down probly 50BB's the whole night and just couldnt catch up. im getting ready to just give up for the night and try again tomorrow as im getting extremely bored. then this little beauty pops up.


no real reads, except that the last two or three times he has minraised, i've had AKs or similar and 3bet him. he has folded every time. after he calls the flop cbet, i got a little worried thinking that he may have KK or AA.

on the turn i almost went weak and folded but then remembered that there was no way i could get away from this hand flopping top two and put him all in. it almost had that baluga feel to it except i didnt have one pair and his raise was practically a minraise. i still made did a double take at the board for sanity sake.

check the results for a good laugh, he did have two pair but i suppose he was sick of my 3bets. the real question is, what did he think i was 3betting with PF and how would his hand fare against any hand i was willing to do so with?

this guy kept floating me. this table was at 90% players to the flop when i sat down so i knew it would be interesting.

i bluff good, i knew he had nothing and i knew he was folding the river. i wasnt gonna let this go to SD for free. that'll teach him to try and suckout with hearts.

I hadn't played since last weekened so today i sit down and play a 9 hour sesion. I usually don't play that long but i was feeling good.

had some decent donkament sucess, was up to around $300 on two 50NL table tables before getting coolered in a few hands, ended the day up $200. A little dissapointing after a peak of +$500 but this is still a great hourly and was one of my best days ever. really gave me the confidence that i could beat 50NL and I am getting use to the bet sizing and im not playing as scared money at 50nl anymore.

This was 3-4 tabling

earned a chunck of VPPs today.....goldstar maybe???

Yeah, I agree W$WSF is a bit too low. Mine is typically in the range of 40-42%, if it goes lower than that, it is an indication that I may be running badly or just c-betting in the wrong spots, and I need to take a look at those situations. If it goes towards 45% I know I'm running hot hot hot.

Also, W$WSF is dependent on your playing style. For high aggro players that enter with a wide range it is crucial that they take down at least 40% of pots that they enter. For nitty players this should come more naturally since their c-bets should get a lot more respect.

Diceman, your W$WSF is no problem, even though it's only 35%. You're playing at 5NL (10NL by now?), and there are a LOT more calling stations there. You'll win far less by c-betting, you'll have to rely on extracting with value bets instead (where you'll earn a lot less at 50NL and even less beyond).

The best way imo to get a feel for what is right, is to keep an eye on your W$WSF numbers over the stretch of a few months. Look at those numbers combined with the other stats for months you've been doing well and then compare that to months where you've been pwned. You'll soon see some correlation.
