Phresh, did we use to play a lot back in the day? I would always call u skeme (ur old SN here, I believe) in the chat box, but you never answered . I could be way off here.

We've chatted before, but as I was usually 12-tabling, I didn't talk much. If you said what's up to me and I ignored you, I honestly didn't see it. Sorry, bro.

So I'm playing some 50NL 6-max at FT because of that $300 bonus. Can't really play any higher as I'm short-rolled there. No more bonus if I busto that account.

It's almost unfair because I'm so much better than anyone at that level lol:

Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.25/$0.50 Blinds - 3 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $50.00
BB: $51.90
Hero (BTN): $55.25

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 Players)
BB folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1.50</font>, SB calls $1.00

Flop: ($3) 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $2.50</font>, SB calls $2.50

Turn: ($8) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
<font color="red">Hero bets $5.50</font>, SB calls $5.50

River: ($19) 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)
Hero checks, <font color="red">SB bets $15.00</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises all-in to $45.75</font>, SB folds
Uncalled bet of $30.75 returned to Hero

Pot Size: $49.00 ($1 Rake)

First hand, no reads. I realize I probably underbet this, and maybe I played this poorly by firing on the river, but he has nothing but a draw (that's dead) and hits one of the few outs he has. Worse, he told me he thought I had the flush until he hit his king (like that changes my odds of having the flush). This happens every time I play higher, and it feels like a giant conspiracy to keep me from ever playing 1/2. F**k you, Full Tilt.

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (9 handed)

MP3 ($163.45)
CO ($209.90)
Button ($231.05)
SB ($235.70)
Hero ($200)
UTG ($125)
UTG+1 ($189.75)
MP1 ($81.35)
Villain ($218)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 4, A.
2 folds, Villain calls $2, 2 folds, Button calls $2, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($8) 8, 7, 4 (5 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, Villain bets $5, Button folds, SB folds, Hero raises to $17, Villain calls $12.

Turn: ($42) Q (2 players)
Hero bets $25, Villain calls $25.

River: ($92) K (2 players)
Hero bets $65, Villain calls $65.

Final Pot: $222

Results:
Hero has 4s Ac (one pair, fours).
Villain has Kc Td (one pair, kings).
Outcome: Villain wins $222.

Okay, so I play 100NL, but I've been taking some shots at 200NL (with poor results as you can see above). I'm trying to figure out if it's poor/scared play or just bad luck. Taking out coolers in both directions, I'm down about half a buy-in, which I attribute mostly to just paying the blinds. Most of my stats are similar (including PFR and AF, which are slightly lower, but not by much), but the one that's way different is VP$IP. I run about 13.9 at 100NL, but I'm under 11.3 at 200NL. It's been under 12 the whole time, but it was at about 11.8 after 1000 hands, and I started making in-game notes. In my last 1300 hands, I've folded exactly one hand at 200NL that I wouldn't have at 100NL: I open-folded 85s on the button instead of raising it, and that was pretty much reverse-tilt influenced.

So my question is: can a 2300ish hand sample size really be enough to evaluate VP$IP? I feel like I'm never getting dealt anything when I'm in MP and LP; I'll get stuff like AJ or KQs from EP and fold it, so I feel like the distribution by position is skewed a bit. Is it possible that I'm just getting dealt all my playable hands in EP, or is 2300 hands enough to say I'm playing scared and not realizing it?

Thoughts on this: a little web app that let's you put in a vpip, and it gives likely holdings for that player if in EP/MP/LP.

Good, bad or stupid?
