6-max was kind of fun yesterday. I don't know how sustainable this is but it sure looks nice!

I'm taking today off because I played a ton of poker throughout the promo. I dunno what I'm gonna play tomorrow. I quit 6-max more than a year ago and I know I'm just a one day 10 buy-in downswing away from running back to mommy...

However, I'm thinking 6-max might be a viable alternative during the day when FR is pretty nitty. In the past I always found it difficult transitioning between the two but yesterday went smoothly. Possibly because I've been much more aggro in FR the last few months, or I'm just that much better than I was a year ago. I dunno, results like these make it really tempting to play 6-max for a few days and see if I can keep it up.

Cry Me A River,

How did you do on fpp/rakeback playing 6-max?

I think you have a pretty good plan of playing 6-max when the games are nitty. Maybe that would also help keep you from burning out on poker by changing it up a bit.

o heres my [censored] so far, I enjoy manipulating 6 maxers much more than frers. For some reason im the biggest nit at fr, and the yet im much looser than the regs, go figure.

this hand was fun

How did you do on fpp/rakeback playing 6-max?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, rakeback % is lower on 6-max tables because you pay a bigger share of the rake than on full tables.

These are my numbers from yesterday (6-max) and Monday (FR).

$50NL 6-max
Hands: 6407
MGR: $252.72
VPP: 1163
VPP/Hand: .182
FPP: 4070.5 (Nova bonus)
FPP/Hand: .635
FPP Value: $61.06
Rakeback %: 24%

Edit: At 6-max the second VPP/hand kicks in at $2 rake not $3. My original numbers were for $3.

$50NL FR
Hands: 3032
MGR: $84.82
VPP: 534
VPP/Hand: .176
FPP: 1869 (Nova bonus)
FPP/Hand: .616
FPP Value: $28.03
Rakeback %: 33%

Rakeback at $100NL FR is a little better, around 37% IIRC but it'll be a similar ratio 6-max:FR as above.

you get nearly the same VPPs per hand, but you pay a larger share of the rake at 6max
