i wonder how much clays projections change after his last 90 innings of work. PECOTA wasn't overly high (nor low either). i suppose its hard to get a read on a guy who had not even been a pitcher two years before. before 07 they had 160 innings on which to project him. he has pitched more than half that amount this year at a new level and just blown the roof off to become probably the best pitcher not to pitch in the majors yet.

yeah i am really stoked about CB, ideally i would like to see him get a cup of coffee this september but NOT be counted on for anything too crucial. then let him come in next spring and blow everyone away and get a roster spot.

It wasn't complaining or serious at all. I am sure, like you said, if BOS scores just a couple of runs tomorrow, someone, not in jest, will make the same comment. craig
