This is the fourth preflop all-in I get today with KK and all 4 were vs Aces. Please tell me this is super standard.

[/ QUOTE ]

Statistically they are supposed to happen once every 10k hands. Of course, statistics also is the reason that it would take several hundred thousands of hands for an event that happens so seldom to converge towards this number.

With our small sample sizes some of us are just bound to run into these an absurd amount of the time.

BTW, I'm 15 or so for 40k hands so I'm in your boat and I still would not hesitate to push them the next time.

this blows so hard. i couldnt stay away and went back to try and win back the 1.85 i was still down from the earlier session. this happy hand happened which brought me REALLY close.

smelled like AA real hard but i closed my eyes and clicked call. once the flop came three hearts, i pushed it in with the second nut draw. i didnt need the flush, i owned him anyway.

Actually, this is a concept that has been rather confusing to me. If I'm in a cash game and can simply reload my stack after a hand, why should I feel that I have obligated myself to give what is left of my stack to my opponent once I realize that I'm not going to win this hand?

I'm in the same boat. I used to call all the value bets with 2nd best hand just because I got great "pot odds." But if you know you're beat, you're beat. Shouldn't you fold even if you're getting like 5:1 on calling?

2 things tilt me hard, losing to a junk hand that calls your preflop raise(A2o, 37o, etc.) and losing a buyin or two right at the beginning of your session and then sit card dead for the next hour to finish down hard for the day.

pokerstars can eat my balls.

would you play this the same? upon review, i think my card dead tilt forced me to play this hand the way i did. i figured him for TPTK or top two, the second flush card hits the turn and he bets hard to protect his hand. i think i should have folded the flop raise. even if i hit, i dont think he would have paid me off which makes it even more -EV than before me thinks. i also dont think cry calling the river in hopes that he was just bluffing is a good idea either, even though im getting an awesome price to see his cards. what do you guys think?

Calling off more than your stack preflop and folding is not a way to win. Actualy I think I was just disappointed for him not to call, but winning this without a showdown is fine. It's just pure pot odds. Almost 5:1 pot odds-- whatever the heck he's calling me with it's hard to imagine he's drawing dead. It'd be ok to call even if you had 5 outs.
