Curtains, Since you are presumably still in contact with ZJ, and since he probably is refusing to read this thread further, I think you should try to convince him to come back here and answer the unaswered questions: 1) Is he now willing to take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for his actions with no justifications or complaints about party's actions being excessive? 2) Is he willing to admit the damage he has done to the ingegrity of online poker ESPECIALLY since he has sought to maintain a high profile with his website? 3) How would he answer the strategy question posed by KKF? Thanks, Bluff [/ QUOTE ] 4. Is he willing to return all the money he has stolen from us by sponsoring a 200k freeroll? 5. Is he willing to admit he is a cheating scumbag that deserves every thing that is happening to him? If not, F*** him and if yes, F*** him as well. Good ridance |

[ QUOTE ]
If you want to investigate my ethics just read all of my posts on 2+2 and do a complete survey for us, tell me what you think, instead of making random accusations because I was unfortuante enough to receive an IM from someone. [/ QUOTE ] Simmer down cowboy, just to clarify, I wasn't making any accusations directed at you whatsoever, and apologize if it appeared that way. I was justifying to the sweeping hoard that were setting their bloodthirsty sights on you for some reason that it wasn't your responsibility to "rat him out" based either of two assumptions: either you were his good friend and he trusted you and you wouldn't betray that, OR, that he wasn't a good enough friend for you to care enough to slap him in the head and tell him how terribly stupid and wrong that activity was. Either way, I don't think this situation reflects negatively on your integrity whatsoever, and again, sorry if that didn't come across so clear. [ QUOTE ] Also I harbor no ill will to ZJ for mentioning me in his original post. I know for sure that he meant no ill will by it. [/ QUOTE ] Probably not, but unfortunately many folks read it to see ZJ saying "um...curtains says it is ok if you sit out...", which of course, wasn't what he meant, and definately not what you meant. |

He should never be allowed back here ever again after what he's done. I assume he will be banned as soon as someone with authority actually sees this stuff. Lori [/ QUOTE ] how could you miss it? i don't think there's ever been a larger thread. except for OOT's "banging myspace chicks", but i never liked [censored] anyway. |

Lori,
They won't even go for giving him the permanent title of CHEATER that AZK put on him earlier apparently. I started a thread in forum suggestions about that. |

El D,
I apologize for my doltish arguements over irrelevant crap in the past. Could we use this joyful occaision to reconcile? You are like a father figure to these forums old man, and I respect that. Continue setting these kids straight. Hopefully you live out your remaining days spreading the word of morality as you are doing here, and I hope you have a couple more years left in you for poker's sake. Just keep that cholesterol in check. |

[/ QUOTE ] That was hilarious and very much required. The guy has a website, the thought that someone might go there and click on a link that transmits their hole cards to him for the rest of their life should worry people. Lori |

[ QUOTE ] it's gonna take a lot for him to regain a positive image IMO. [/ QUOTE ] ZeeJustin is now the Kobe Bryant of online poker. I saw on Outside the Lines the other night though that Kobe is working to regain it with those new commercials, I have no clue what zeejustin could do. [/ QUOTE ] I bet ZJ could do plenty to redeem himself, at least to a decent number of people. It makes people feel good to forgive others, especially if they seem very humble and try especially hard to go above and beyond to correct all the wrongs they have done. Let's just say that ZJ's response in this thread didn't help matters. If his initial response was of a different nature, some people would be very upset still, but it would be a lot less violent than it is now. Anyway what could someone do to redeem themselves: 1. Publicly recognize their wrongdoing and take responsibility. 2. Try to do something good for the community. Take time off from actually playing poker and I don't know, give lots of lessons for free to people, and the beneficiary would be decided by some type of method on 2+2. ZJ is obviously a good player, despite what he did, and many people would benefit a lot from this. 3. Run a $5,000 freeroll for members of 2+2. Or maybe run 5-10 weekly $1,000 freerolls in which there are 9 qualifiers who play a one table structure and after the freeroll he would look at the participants hand histories and analyze the play of every hand. Now of course even after doing some of the above things, some people will hate him. But I think it's obvious that less people would if hes willing to make serious financial and time based sacrifices (especially after having 100k less than he expected to have). Anyway these were just some ideas off the top of my head, but something like that would at least show that he appreciates the community, understands he was wrong, and is willing to give something back in return. In his case, his reputation would probably be worth the money and time invested. I doubt anything like this would happen, but these are the kind of things I would recommend to someone who wanted to try to get their reputation back intact. |

Thanks, Bluff [/ QUOTE ] Honestly I don't know ZJ well. I know him not well enough so that I feel awkward talking to him right now. My opinion is that he should accept his losses and completely and totally change his outlook and how he handled the situation, especially if he values his reputation. However again, I don't believe that I know him well enough to start being his PR advisor. |
