[ QUOTE ]
Hello 2+2'ers: I decided to make up a thread, instead of responding on other threads... If any of you have any questions, comments, gossip, etc., please post them and I will respond on this thread. Just a little background, I have been playing high limit LIVE poker for 2 years (100-200, 80-160, 40-80), I just recently started to play tournaments. I rarely play on the internet but if I do I play on Martin's Poker (50-100 limit, 30-60 limit, 5-10 nl)screen name MsGluck Jean [/ QUOTE ] Hey Jean, I am a paid sports writer and a pro poker player (a limit cash game player, my highest regular limit in a live setting is 80/160). I created a poker-centric blog to which a couple of 2+2 posters contribute (it was linked earlier in this thread, in fact). If you wouldn't mind, I might be sending you a PM with some questions, and if you could do a brief interview for our blog, that would be great. It would be one part of a series of interviews with established pros and personalities from around the country. If you're too busy, no big deal. DukePokerPro27 |

tdk,
I wasn't insinuating anyone or anything. I was just saying that is the kind of profile of person I would imagine a beautiful and talented successful poker player like MsGluck would be most compatible with. |

El D,
You have truly lived up to the hype in this thread, and that's saying something. |

the hell when did this thread get started. i was obviously not on top of things. goddamn. jean how does it feel that you started to post on 2+2 because of the thread i started on you. do i get some credit? which other online forums did you post on? did you quit because they knew who you were (and saw your pics) ? or were they just asses to anyone. El D, you are a funny guy. I'm surprised this hasn't turned into one trolling fest a la jennicide and jen harman. I think posters should try to keep the asinine comments to a minimum. it would be nice to keep jean on these boards. also a personal question, u're reaching an age when most women are either married or have kids. do you plan on marrying? or if it doesn't happen is it not a big deal for you. also would you prefer your hubby to be a poker player or someone who carries a more "respectable" occupation. the psychological make up of a poker degenerate would not necessarily be good characteristics for a man in a committed relationship, but since you play poker yourself you maybe more understanding. i'm not digging for info for myself...seriously. [/ QUOTE ] LOL yes it was your thread that got me to post! Some of you guys were saying really nice things and I felt I needed to express my gratitude, thats all. I never posted anywhere else. Yes most of my friends are married with kids. I chose to work on my career (construction) in my early 20's instead of getting caught up with men. Also, I never seemed to pick the right ones and Hollywood is not the best place to find a "real" relationship. I would love to settle down and have a family, but that would mean I would have to give up poker to concentrate on raising a family, which is very important to me. Men who play poker have the luxury of having kids and not giving birth so it doesn't effect them as much. I won't discriminate against a man cause he plays poker, actually I think a man who does play poker would appreciate me. Men are men, whether they are a poker player, athlete or actor. From my experience actors and athletes are worse. An occupation doesn't define who a person is. |

Young lady, you are a delight. I salute your patience, sense of humor and tolerance for the crap that's been thrown around here.
I'm curious about one thing. Has your PM box hit the max yet? I hope you continue to hang around 2+2. Continued success to you. |
