You said he has a 2% chance at best to make the final 3, which is idiotic.

Wow. Your amazing display of logic and persuasiveness has caused me to reconsider my position.

I find your ideas intriguing, and would like to subscribe to your newsletter.

"for those of you who don't have your volume up I am sure you are going to get lots of votes". I think Ryan owes Kat an apology whether his comments were towards her singing or the judges comments I think they were inappropriate. I did think her performance was one of the best of the night and she was brutalized by the judges and then the comment by Ryan after that was unfair. Do the judges have it out for Kat, if I was gambling on Idol I think I would sell my shares of Kat even though I think she should be top 3.

- Kat was amazing. The only person that could have done that song better was Whitney. Not to mention her dress. Yow.
- Taylor was OK, but not great. He'll coast to the next round.
- Elliot really did well this week. I don't see him winning it all, but he really broke out this week.
- Chris did OK, I guess. I don't particularly like his voice, though, but the warble was better this week, probably from the "new trick" of singing from his diaphragm instead of his throat. Go figure.
- Paris was not good. The song was boring, and she was boring.
- I made a comment to my wife about how Kellie could have a carrer in the future as a yodeler. I stand by my comment.

It was a bland week overall. I'd really like to see a week where the contestants can open it up and not have to sing something in a specific genre, or something from an artist with material coming out, or from a compilation coming out. I understand that AI has to pimp the products to make money, but I think it's making the show less interesting.

Here's my synopsis of the final 6.

Kat is clearly the most talented, and obviously isn't sore on the eyes at all. I pick her to win and have a career not unlike Whitney or Celine. She's an incredible singer, and she's hotter than both put together, IMHO.

Taylor has alot of charisma, and is clearly the best showman of the group. He's fun to watch, and has good soul chops. I don't think his particular style will push him over the top, though. He's my personal favorite, and has been since the beginning of the season.

Paris has a great voice, especially for someone so young. She'll do great things in the music world. It must run in the genes.

Elliot is just too goofy looking to win this competition. He loses in the looks and style department to each of the others in the competition, and lacks the polish that some of the others already have. I'm certain that he will do well.

Chris will probably do well as a frontman for one of those "alternative to alternative" bands like Matchbox 20 or Nickelback. That is, I won't be listening to much of the music that he makes. I personally don't care much for the warble that persists in all of his held notes, but it does appear to be a style that many like.

Kellie was an interesting story at first, but she is either a genius at pretending to be incredibly stupid, or is incredibly stupid. Either way, her chops can't handle it. She'll do fine as a professional yodeler. I'd do her, though.

My wife would replace Paris for Chris in this group, but I think Chris will exit much like Constatine did last year. It only takes one bad song, and Chris is on the edge. He'll really have to blow me away for me to change my mind.

I could not figure out what you guys were complaining aobut until I read it again here. At first, I just thought it was a compliment on how great she looked in that dress. But now I see the negative part....

I thought she was great.

Back when I first saw him in this competition, he looked awful familiar to me but I just couldn't figure out why. Then my brother called me up and asked who my favorites were. He referred to Elliot as "Goatboy" (Adam Sandler) and then I knew where I had seen him before. Does anyone else see the resemblance?

Ryan was talking about the audience not hearing the judges comments, not Kat's performance. But it did come out wrong.

I don't why everyone is bagging on Elliot. He's got a fantastic singing voice, with incredible control over it. He's sincere and warm and obviously a great guy. So he's a little goofy-looking...he's certainly not unpleseant to look at, he's just not Ace or Chris.

You watch...I'm betting Elliot will have the biggest career of this bunch unless Kat becomes a superstar...
