Here's your problem...
One time the dog's gonna win the battle and you're going to let him do what he wants to do. Then he's gonna lap it all up and beg for more. You'll have that creepy feeling that you just did something wrong but it was oh so right! Once it becomes a habit you'll start to prefer it over your gf's job and one day it will slip, "Jesus, why can't you be more like the [censored] dog!" The gf will be gone and one day the dog will die. Then what?
