One thing I am concerned about.
I live with my parents currently, and my mother plays poker. Now, she plays much lower stakes than I do, but it would not be out of the realm of possibility for her to someday play in a big tournament with me. If this DID happen, what would Party/Stars do? Would we able to convince them that there are indeed two individual people playing on two separate computers? Or would it just be wise to never play together? |

something that just came up in my mind:
If people like ZJ and JJ all ready had multiple accounts, what good is banning them? Won't they just make another fake account and continue? btw having 2 letter names is obv signs of cheatage |

My question is why hadn't they been caught before? How hard is it to write a program that compares IPs for all of the players in a given tourney? They have it for ring games, at the very least the software should instruct them to investigate the accounts with similar or same IPs to check for cheating. I have no sympathy for the cheaters. You reap what you sow, you made your bed, now lie in it, etc. I don't find it suprising that its the younger players getting caught. I too was invincible when I was in my teens and somewhat in my early twenties. Lessons can be hard learned, espcecially about killing goose that's laying the golden eggs. I hope Lee Jones is watching and will do something too. Regards, Woodguy edited for spelling error [/ QUOTE ] Well said!! Life lessons are learned in the hardest way sometimes. It would be great for all the other big poker sites to follow suit. Carl |

[ QUOTE ] can someone explain how you log on with 6 accounts on 1 computer? please dont give explicit instructions how to do it, but just give me a general idea. [/ QUOTE ] Hack your client, somehow. [/ QUOTE ] Well, this solution no longer works with the new Party software. But someone discovered a registry key that could be added to the Party Poker folder that would allow you to open unlimited (at least 10) clients and log in to different accounts each time. I don't know who discovered it, but I first learned of it when I read this post last summer: http://www.tightpoker.com/cgi-bin/ya...num=1121643906 Remember, it no longer works. |

[/ QUOTE ] My fiancee and I are going to have this situation soon but she only has one account and usually just plays on mine. If she gets her own accounts, we just aren't going to play the same tournament, probably not even the same site. She's played on my account from another IP and we've cross-logged in not knowing the other was playing. I don't think that is a problem though. Edit: meaning she's she's on only one site, I'm on several, one account only on each. That could be misinterpreted! |

[/ QUOTE ] kyro - they look for systematic cheating. Once or twice should be no concern. More importantly, they apparently record the pattern of clicks and response times, so they can tell if it's one person using the accounts or two. |

[ QUOTE ] i could only hope he was smart enough to cash out after the jj drama [/ QUOTE ] Party only lets you cash out 10K at a time, then you need to wait for it to clear. I don't know if he had enough time. [/ QUOTE ] Let's say ZJ had 20K in 6 accounts. Getting 60K out before he got caught would be a hell of a lot better than getting 0k out. I don't know, maybe it's just me. |
